Front Cup Holders On Ls400?

Recommended Posts

Hi all- been away a few days enjoying my car, driving it, cleaning it, fuelling it, loving it ad Infinitim...

Oh and thanks for a nice welcome here- I appreciate it.

i am assuming there are front cup holders just by the arm rest? They seem to be jammed in, it doesn't pop out. The guy who sold the car denied that they were even fitted but I am sure there must be

Is it easy to access to replace them or best left to a body shop. They seem to be available on eBay so wondered about it. The car is a 1997 'P' plate ( is that a mark3 ?)

Any advice gratefully received

Cheers

Patrick

hi

my first point of call would be to have a look why they are not popping

Using 2 blunt instruments start lifting the walnut gear surround near the cup holders

work you way around untill its lifted at all ends

have a look underneath and see if you can figure out why they are not operating

and yes your car is a mark 3

Take the centre console inner part out...There are two screws at the front under a cover and two at the rear under a trim piece that surrounds the air vent. You can access the cup holder part from there. This reduces the risk of damaging the walnut trim by trying to pry it up
