Well thats weird.

I'm almost sure, when i had my 200 that the shift was left then forward, If I recall rightly.... if you had an open grip you could quite easily knock the stereo settings.

Someone before you have had the gearstick pulled out and then put it in wrong again. The Is200 shifter has an angle to it. So if you have had it pulled out and then put back in the wrong way, well then that is your problem :)

Your gearstick has been fitted incorrectly. An easy job to fix.

Pull gently around the gear lever cover - the whole plastic bit including the cig lighter and ash tray should lift up, Unscrew the gear knob and slide the whole lot off the lever. Remove the bolts that hold on the steel cover. Remove this cover and then pull the gear lever out. turn it 180 degrees and put it back in. Refit covers and job done!

If ur unsure about taking it apart maybe u shud get a mechanic to have a look. Its all well and good asking for advice but ultimately u prob wud like it fixed sooner rather than later. Putting some pics up of ur problem might help others see the issue also.
