Rx 70K Service

Need it doing and for the sake of good order I thought I would get a couple of quotes.

When I had my IS300 I used Toyotec a few times and couldnt complain at all about the service or prices.

In essence the 70k service is Oil and Pollen Filter.

Toyotec £135- all in.

Lexus Croydon- £380- seriously!- when I queried what it covered he couldnt tell me apart from it covered the 70k service. when I told him it was oil and pollen filter he offered a £60 discount- I felt so touched I nearly took him up on his offer....

Being the nosey person that I am, I just had to phone my friendly local dealer, Lexus Hedge End (Southampton).

standard 70k service...,

RX300: £260 all inclusive

RX400h: £233.50 all inclusive.

Service dept could not explain the difference in cost, but there you go.

I would have thought there would be a standard charge for each level of service throughout Lexus Main Dealers. Maybe that's why they are commonly known as Main Stealers!

Why should there be a common rate? Every dealership has its own costs which will differ and therefore need to be recovered in pricing.

Actually there is a Lexus fixed price service scheme.
