Cabin Filter

Decided to replace my cabin filter as this doesn't seem to be part of any service.

Took the old filter out and it was absolutely black and full of debri.

However, at £37 from lexus I was slightly shocked at the price.

I might try eBay for the next one on the other Is as they are only £10.

£5 free postage off e bay looks and feels identical to what I've removed.easy to extract the old one from its carrier and new one refitted all looks fine ! If I die from some unexplained chronic lung problem in the near future I'll leave instructions to be reposted !!

Cabin filter not on any service? Wow it's on every service including the 10k intermediate service on the 1st gen IS.

At least that's what they showed on the invoice.

Had a 2 year/20k service a couple of weeks ago.

I asked them to keep the old filter.

It was very dirty.

I was surprised.

The car has only done 13k in two years.

Well lexus certainly never replaced mine on my 60k full service which is a bit disappointing.

Still, done now.
