just had 2 tryres on front of the gs one of the studs sheared tightening up were can I get one ?

any Lexus or Toyota dealer should have them. I believe the part number is 90942‑02070. They are around £3 each.

Never had any issues with the wheel bolts on any of my GS's. Maybe over tightened at some point by some tyre fitters and their air ratchets.

Yes I bought new ones from Lexus, they cost £4.86 for two in 2010.

I would have thought that the alloy wheel would have failed before a stud would break!

You'd be surprised how easy they are to snap. A long breaker bar would snap one with very little effort. The wheel is much stronger than a stud.

the tyre centre had a torque bar to tighten them ,maybe just a weak bolt

One reason they should be fitted with a torque wrench not an impact hammer. They are not stronger just put under a different type of load.
