Tyres For Ls430

Well, I've just ordered a pair of Falken 914's (new version of 912's) so we'll see if they last better. 235/55 x17 - £117 fitted from Black Circles.

Was wondering how you are getting on with the Falken 914s?

I've not noticed any difference in ride, grip or handling. Wear rate I'm not sure of as yet. I'll let you know when I have to change them.

I'm not sure if the Continental Premium Contact 2 is available in a size to fit the 430, but it's woth considering.

I currently have these fitted and I'm very pleased with them. I was influenced somewhat by a Which? tyre test, at the time classing the Falken ZIEX as a "don't buy" due to its extremely poor grip. I don't know if that's true of their current range.

By the way, the PC2 is made in Portugal (not China).

yes they are - I had 245 45 18 on my 430 and found them just as noisy as the bridgstones - I have now changd t Dunlop sp sport which are a lot quieter and smoother.

Cannot comment on life as I only drive 4k a year

On my Mk3 the standard Falkens are just fine .... 225/60/16 ......... . and at £100 a corner " all-up "

New set of 225/60-16 primacy hp Michelins. Grip seems good but noise about the same as the worn chen-yip wooden ones they replaced !
