I activated it once when not in the car, wondered what the four and a half was going on, most embarrassing.

Don't have one with current LS, thanks heavens.

Who would want to car jack a LS400, to most crims probably about as desirable as a horse and cart - unless they are more discerning!

They are becoming popular in Nigeria now as they have realised the mercs are not as reliable as before.

If you do set it off, by accident or design, putting the key in the lock will shut the alarm off.

Now that is a useful infomative post when everyone has decided to press their button to test it :)

Does this mean we can expect 100% genuine Nigerian bidders who will pay twice the price once we ship the car over and pay a "holding deposit" of £10,000. mmmm

So.......... you press the panic button as the carjacker reaches for your keys and dumps you in the road.........the alarm sounds, but then stops when said carjacker puts the keys in the ignition?

I think I spot a slight flaw.

I think you have to operate the door locks to reset it.

3 units down from where I work is an Nigerian exporters I am waiting for the day when my ls ends up in one of the numerous containers that turn up to collect their collection of goodies that vanish in the dead of night.
