Ok guys looking for a bit of advice/experience, what modifications have you done to your car? In your eyes what subtle modifications, both interior and exterior suit the IS model best?!

I know the obvious modifications that you do first, change interior and side lights to White LED to get rid of that nasty orange colour but what else do you guys think looks good?

All thoughts welcome and pictures too would be great!

Let's see what ya got!

Obviously changing bulbs is the easiest thing to do.

Typical mods include different grills. I have the lx-mode top and lower grills.

rear lights can be changed for clear or smoked indicator versions. Or is-f lights. But expect to pay around £400+ for them

lip kits and spoilers are availiable. Aswell as lowering kits. And wheels

But for customising head over to the lexus form in the usa. They know how to modify cars.

One of the cheapest and most effective things to do is paint calipers on front and rear brakes.

Had red on my old silver IS200.

You will be surprised how different it looks.

Thanks a lot guys, already put a small "M3" style lip spoiler on which I think looks great and it was really cheap off eBay too! Do you have any photos of modifications you have done to yours to see how they look?

A "mod" you could do is to fit the automatic wing mirror closure which, since I have fitted it have found it usefull.

How would you go about doing that?

This has been annoying me since the say one - they're automatic, yet they don't fold down when you arm the alarm..

You can purchase the required kit from a guy in Oz. Search the forum for Po-40 - I bought one a few months back...yet to to fit it but when I have time it shall be done! They are about £60 ish IIRC.

As for body kits or styling kit shall I say... can you buy them from Lexus dealer ?? I got a IS200 with a sport grill and styling kit from Lexus, I don't seem to see any for the second gen IS250/220d ?? Mines a 2006 model so the facelift F-sport styling prob wont fit
