Is there any performance benefit in reseting the ECU on the IS300

only if you gonna change something like the ron of your fuel or your driving style or both. it will just adjust quicker.

If you stick mods on (such as a performance exhaust and air filter) - then yes. If it is bog standard, then no.

Lets just say.. I got an aftermarket exhaust... never reset the ECU...

Noise nicer, bit more response...

Garage reset ECU when sorting Stereo out... what a difference, car is a lot quicker..

Interesting point there Loz,

On first thoughts one would think you should reset the ECU.

This sounds like it would give it a chance to adjust (as best as possible, within it's limits) to the extra power offered by the NOS.

But then, as your NOS is it not on all the time, would it not then be better to leave it alone, and let it remain set for a normally aspirated/fuel/air mixture.

For my $0.02c, I'd leave it alone.

Well it depends how often you use your Noz...

I'd say since you've changed the exhausts... reset the ECU.. but dont use the Noz for a couple of weeks to let it get used to 'normal operation'...

Ok....I have a Super Dragor exhaust fitted, If I have my ECU reset, then it will make me go faster

apparently, you take off the negative lead from your Battery, leave for 5 mins, then depress the brake pedal to use any remaining charge... then reconnect.

You will lose all your presets in your radio though
