Hello all, Can anybody tell me where to find the paint code on my ls 400.. It looks silver but someone said it had a green tint in it...Does anyone know the colour, and where is the best place to get a match for both touch up paint and spray paint...... Thank you

have a look on your vin plate which I believe is in the engine bay near the driver side strut.

you can re-confirm the code and find the cladding code on paintscratch.com

Find a local Tetrosyl automotive paint dealer, take your car there and they will use the ID/VIN plate to obtain the code then make up an aerosol in the correct colour for you.

Bear in mind all new paint is water based (aqua-t) and you will also need some spray lacquer.

If you have the code from the VIN plate then try these people. Alternatively, they will probably help you with tracing which numbers are the code if you ring them and have a photo of your plate to hand. I have found them very helpful in the past for Mercedes paint and bought two tone pots from them for my Lexus.

ps On my 93 model UCF10R the codes are on the bottom line first three figures and then again the next four figures

I second autopaint st Helens (auto-paint.co.uk)

I have been using them for years and always a great matching paint. Mark Dunn is the guy you need there :)
