I just cleaned the erg valve on a is220d to get one of the bolts out of the connecting pipe, I removed the Battery, cleaned the valve, replaced everything , but now it won't start? The dash lights up , it goes through the checks, press the button, click , nothing ...? Any ideas?

Make sure you have plugged in the EGR connector. I forgot to push it in tight. Car came up with warning lights. plugged in OBD code reader and it reported code for egr not present. So went back and found the connector loose.
