Lexus Paint Warranty

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help. I just wanted to know if the lexus 12 year paint warranty is just for rust or can it be used for anything as in scratches etc?

I believe the paint has a 3 year warranty, but wouldn't cover scratches as by definition those have been caused by an external object damaging the paint.

The 12 year anti-corrosion warranty is for rust, appearing from the inside out - if the paint was scratched/chipped and exposed the metal which then rusted it would not be covered.

Thanks for that. Lexus are going to put a brand new bonnet on my gs300 next week due a tiny bit of rust coming through, my car has 2 or 3minor marks and thought I could get that done too, but it seems I can't then
