Hello,

If you bought your car, and it is new, I suggest to you that you go garage and check your link between front tires (not sure how you say that in english), my angle was bad, and every time I turn the wheels all he way you could hear them grind on the edge of tires. Now my tires are slick on the edges, and as new in the middle, but still I need to change them because I can not pass the MOT. My was all massed up, and destroyed my tires after 20000 km.

Hopefully this helps you

Best regards

Hrvoje

when you say too sharp do you mean full lock? On full lock, particularly in reverse, one tyre can drag slightly due to amount of steering lock (rear wheel drive).

Check this thread out. My car does as is described in here:

It's due to compromises in the steering geometry. Do a google search on things like Ackerman steering geometry - eg see this: http://www.motor.org.uk/documentlibrary/Sep%2009/TT%20_%20Sept%2009.pdf

Lexus pushes the limits of what is achievable with the geometry - they have to build in things like steering feel, weight, tyre wear etc. as well as getting the car round the corner.

It's nothing to worry about, unless you want to drive round very tight circles at speed! Just take it easy on full lock.

Yes at full lock mine makes an odd sound, if you put it on full lock and stop and have a look the wheels are at quite an angle!! its hardly surprising they make a noise

Nice to have a decent turning circle after driving nasty front wheel drive cars
