  2. Have you thought of one from another model/make of car? I have one from a bmw in my is200, only needed an earth and aux live for it to work.

  3. Too right, if you look closely there is enough dust to actually write EBC in it! Ah the Mitsubishi Enkei wheels this came about from when the Chrome alloys it had fitted on import decided to peel after 2 years on UK salted roads. After buying several 2nd hand sets which proved either unsuitable or buckled I came across a company in North Yorkshire who specialised in as new alloys. I travelled up there and cherry picked a set for £160.00. They were originally fitted to Evo 9 models but the manufacturer had a rethink and lots were removed without the car even hitting the road. The only cosmetic marks were where the wheels had been fitted originally with hammer on balance weights! Picture below were the original wheels,Impul Grantz.Unfortunately I couldn't find a company in the UK to rechrome them so sold them on very cheap.

  4. Hi Mike It is more complicated than leaning the mixture a bit - there are commercial ECU remappers who advertise a 20% improvement in fuel economy if you have them work on your car. I put an external chip (connected to the ODI port) on my car for a few months and it had minimal effect - it just seemed to get hot so I removed it. Bren Hi Bren, I seem to remember one of the main TV channels did a programe reviewing many of these Snake Oil products some time ago and not one of them worked. They came to the conclusion that if it was possible manufacturers would have included it in their building specs years ago. Mike. I think you'll find that many manufactures were going to supply new dual fuel cars this included Land Rover who about 6-7years were in talks with government The government, in their wisdom, discouraged the idea because if other manufactures followed suit & it caught on with the public (which it would) it would mean a substantial drop in tax revenue. The only manufacturer who I recall did offer dual fuel was Vauxhall but they have dropped it Volvo & Saab also offered it and you right about the U turn the government did, their loss our gain. Mike

  5. I can't believe they haven't looked at your car yet! And their main focus seems to be on a new wheel? That's the last thing they should look at as you have a full sized alloy wheel in your boot they could put on. I would have asked them just to sort the suspension and use the spare then I would by a wheel from eBay to replace the spare. It's really hard to give you an idea of parts prices and labour costs when we have no idea what parts you need. To be honest I know one thing, I'd get my car out of that garage that can't even be bothered to have a proper look at it 4 days after your bump and get it somewhere that has a sense of urgency. Your car could be back on the road by now or at least nearly finished!

  7. I think you might find you are the car novice here. You rely on the Internet to feed you your info rather than actually having any experience. Accords ARE family cars. Four doors and saloon shape is a minor giveaway.............. Even Golfs have DW suspension. Have you ever taken a car apart Knobbly? Guess not.. Explain to me why YOU think certain car manufacturers opt to use DWS? I cannot believe the lack of mechanicle knowledge you have after trying to bluff everyone on here out.

  9. Extremely basic or not the question has been asked by a forum member requesting an answer. I for one was not aware without research that there are 2 versions of the RX, Front Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive.
