Nice GS. Surprised though, most BMW lovers dont take to Lexus for its super soft and comfy ride and quietness but really glad you took to it, its what we all love. I would love a GS, i love my IS but i have to say it is slightly cramped when compared to the GS so may upgrade for that reason someday, but would prob get the V8 while im at it2 points

Must be the 5th time for me. And several hundred pounds each time to fix. Lexus you should be ashamed of yourselves. Last time it went they said it was because a lug had snapped, so I asked them for the sensor that they replaced at the same time. I'm going to ask my friendly technician to see if this one will fit. So I have been cleaning it up and noticed the really bad state of the contacts. (Lexus told me that it's usually the contacts that corrode and necessitate a new one). But this raises a couple of questions for me 1. Couldn't they be assembled using some kind of conductive grease like you use on a car battery terminals 2. If the male prongs on the removed sensor are in a bad way, surely the female prongs on the car's loom are going to be just as bad - but they don't change that part of the connector do they? Please bear with me on this folks-I'm attempting to upload a topic plus photos on the Forum, first time I've ever used my Galaxy Note smartphone to do this, (I don't own a laptop) and would like to find out how easy it is to do, I had my wheels refurbished recently, they were in a terrible mess, had all 5 done, and they came up a treat.1 point

I actually think the wheels themselves look too small. But that would just be trying to find something to pick a fault with. As you've said, it's just had new tyres put on, so there's no point changing anything now. If you are going to put springs on anyway, I would say DON'T go as drastic as 40-45mm encase you do end up getting bigger wheels or higher profile tyres. 20-30mm drop should allow you to manage the drop on the current wheels and tyres and factor in larger wheels and/or tyres at a later stage.1 point

This has been asked several times before and it's not easy at all.. The loom in the car is different to the Sat Nav version and I think there are issues around the amp etc. Don't think it's worth the effort. You can get a new head unit with Sat Nav and replace the existing unit and bypass the amp1 point

Mine were done by Spit & Polish who charged me £62.75+VAT per wheel, including collection and delivery. This was a year ago and their results are stunning. http://www.spitandpolish.co.uk/home.html1 point

Don't assume there's anything wrong with the car. Ebay is full of idiots who bid with no intention of completing the sale Too true and I may have a punt myself then - there were plenty of bidders last time and the went above £12K I think - which is too high because there are models at dealers for the same or less. Usually if the winner does not want it then the next highest gets the opportunity to buy. Bren1 point

Hi Welcome Naill My 97 GS is currently in the garage for its MOT & the owner (with my consent) uses it to go home & back & has commented as to what a great car it is to drive, he loves it AND he was/is a BMW man. I suspect I'll soon see him owning a Lexus1 point

I spent ages and bored my wife half to death before I put my HanKook Ventus Prime K115 S's on . . B rated for Fuel efficiency and B rated for wet weather grip . . and only 70Db of noise from road surface . . . . . there's a site currently offering the Eibach pro springs at £243 incl delivery, but there are other brands . . . And, no doubt, the quality of most parts these days, there shouldn't be a concern about whoever you go with.1 point

Yeah they seem to be pricey for this car alot cheaper for the bmws usually only £140 for most bmws. I have found some gmax springs that look fairly good I will read into these when I get a chance that's a 20mm drop. As for the tyres..... I need thicker ones but has just had brand new falkens put on for the mot :( and rears are like new also.... Shame really but I think I need it for comfort reasons. Can really hear and feel the road surface.1 point

You are forgetting that there are two ways to spell Insurance 1st is Insurance 2nd is Theives. My daughter wanted to change her address on her insurance policy and they wanted £35 but being my daughter I had taught her well and she adived them to have some s*x and travel. In 2 months time the policy finishes and it will get changed then. Mike1 point
