  3. Probably best to get a mechanic to look at it. The sensor should be checked for alignment and possibly replaced if it isn't working correctly. The throttle motor should also be checked for correct operation.

  5. Shes back and running like a new baby. I got lost on the way back, I am not sure what happened, must have taken a wrong turn somewhere. Took me 45 miles to get home, garage is only 4 miles away. I am just so happy. Mike.

  6. This has made me chuckle. I pitched the ISF as the 'sports version' of my IS250 and then as a V8....During a meal with the family I was asked for the size of the engine.....needless to say there were a few jaws dropping after hearing '5 litres'. Father in law said "what mpg will that do", I replied "didn't buy it for the mpg" :-) Lol. Currently the other half is still taking to me, I think I'm out of the woods and loving the ISF.

  7. I had a knocking noise coming from the rear n/s when going over rough roads in my recently purchased is200 with 79k, took it to a garage and asked them to check the shocks and they said they couldn't see anything wrong with them and no signs of them leaking etc, not convinced with there verdict I rang the previous owner and asked him if the shocks had ever been replaced by him which he replied no, after searching on here for hours I decided that due to the mileage to change them anyway and ordered a full set of kyb shocks and had them fitted, hey presto!! no more knocking!! turns out that both front and rear n/s shocks were shot, not saying that this is what anyone elses knocking problem is but generally I think if your mileage is fairly high and your on the originals get them checked properly by removing them from the car.
