  1. Just renewed, but will remember that in Nov. I got a 10 month accelerator policy from Admiral for my GS300 Sport. I'm 30, 2 years NCB and paid something like £700 which isn't too bad. Think if I'd have to have paid £2k+ for it, I'd have been driving something more sedate :duh:
  2. Was in Devon visiting relatives and pulled into their road. There was another car coming towards me and parked cars on my side of the road, so pulled in behind a parked car to let the other car through (hubby driving). The woman misjudged the gap, and bounced off the back of my car. Simon jumped out, but the woman put her foot down and scarpered. By the time he turned the car around she was nowhere to be seen Luckily it sounded worse than what it was, but she'd taken paint off the bumper. So, if anyone sees a Silver Audi A4 Avant driving around Cullompton with my blue paint on their bumper, please feel free to let me know. :tsktsk:
  3. Halfords do a clear lacquer - can be found by all the usual paints. I've used it when tackling a minor kurb mark on the alloy and it's been fine, think it's a Halfords own jobby
  4. Awwww, go on... it's definitely worth it. Deals on insurance, servicing, days out etc etc. You'll not regret it!
  5. You could buy a nice dress with the money you'd save and pretend!
  6. Think all of this is adversely affecting me. I was driving home earlier in the week and had a car follow behind me for about 5 miles or so. When it pulled in to our housing estate I got very nervous and phoned home. Luckily when I turned into our road it went straight past, or else the occupants would have been surprised to see my hubby waiting on the drive with a tyre lever!!!!!
  7. Following on from Lexus Boy's revelation that he pays £4k a year to insure his IS200, what's your most outrageous insurance quote been? Regardless of whether or not you took it up... On my IS200 it was £2200. At the same time I test drove a Seat Leon Cupra Sport and was quoted £4000 to insure it. EEK.
  8. I thought the best thing turning 30 was that my insurance premiums were bound to come down... pay @£700 for the GS.
  9. If you want to clean the mats, have a go at them with the jet wash - used to do the mats on the Prelude that way as they used to show up the dirt. They'll take some time to dry but it works!
  10. In my CD player at the moment, I've got: Snow Patrol Scissor Sisters Pearl Jam's greatest hits (double album) Seether Tom Jones & Jools Holland
  11. The sapphire blue is a tad darker and deeper in comparison to the Strathcaron
  12. Congratulations - when will the big day be?! :D
  13. I suppose most people will view but only post if they have something of value to say. Otherwise you just get cr*p in the thread...
  14. If the debt has been settled in full and this isn't reflected on the Experian report, you can contact the debt collecters and ask them to write to confirm this. Experian can then update their records to show this.
  15. Believe it or not, Mudz was right on ALL counts!!!! :D Katie Rebecca Grove was born at 3.27am on 1st February, weighing 8lb 2oz. I think Mudz must have connections with the Divine :winky: Thanks to all who participated and to TDIplc, ProLex UK and GlobalGraphics - Mudz, I'll drop you a PM.
  16. Thanks guys! Katie Rebecca Grove finally put in an appearance on Tues (1st Feb), weighing 8lb 2oz. All's well with the new addition and we're really enjoying the latest member of the family. I'll post some pics soon!
  17. Sorry to say nothings happened just yet.... <sigh>
  18. I'll try my best!!! Going to have a curry and watch a comedy tonight - even if it doesn't work, at least I'll have a good night!
  19. Well, you got my due date right but no sign of him/her as yet <sigh>. Fingers crossed it's soon!!
  20. I'd be happy modding my GS300 Sport, buying a GS430 and then having a Noble GTO for weekend fun! ...easily pleased me! Hubby however has a wish-list of cars as long as your arm!
  21. Hi Colin, yes, luckily I can claim this back on expenses. I spoke with them last week and pointed out Broadband is cheaper, so they should pick up the tab for that too.
  22. Thanks for that explanation Matt! Will definitely look into it - working from home @9 hours a day at the moment and getting phone bills of about £100 a month!
  23. Oh dear. Money doesn't impart taste does it. Spose at least he can afford genuine Burberry now.... Chavtastic mates.
  24. Scuse my ignorance, but what exactly does the monthly usage limits equate to? Number of downloads or time spent on Broadband? I'm looking into Broadband as I'm increasingly working from home and it'll beat dial-up! Will still be accessing the corporate network and just really want BB for quicker work email
