  1. Think it was me you ordered it with Lex :D They are only really doing accessory parts for the IS200 in the sale but there ain't much. Platinum Ice corner Spats Front Skirt Lip Spoilers 18" Styling kit wheels. Thats about the lot really. Would need to check if they are still available though.
  2. It has ?!?!? I've been waiting 2 years for them to pull their finger out !! Every time I go to Coventry (I'm on their books for the servicing of the IS) or Cambridge (where I'm buying the RX) I keep asking and nobody knows anything... Where is it preceisely? L. ← We just had one arrive yesterday. If you give sales a ring they should be able to book a test drive
  3. Also the M6 Toll Road doesn't appear on even the new disc as it is a private road and the owners are not giving permission for it to go on the discs. So if this is the reason you are are upgrading, i wouldn't bother :)
  4. To install a new disc, all you have to do is eject the old one and put the new one in, it does all the rest. DVD Discs are about £255 brand new. Could get this down to about £217 for you though. Part number for the latest DVD is 08927-50882.
  5. On the auto IS's an oil cooler was fitted if the car had a tow bar so it could be said that if it was under a lot of strain for a long period of time then it would be advised.
  6. Just asked the question to an MOT Tester i know and he said that they cannot fail a car for not having a bonnet stay. They even have a special tool for keeping the bonnets open.....a stick (don't know if its a Snap-On one though? :winky: )
  7. Lexus did do gold badges as an accessory, not standard fit. The kit didn't include wheel centre badges, only the main badges and i think the aerial bezel.
  8. Autosound are actually the official repairers for Lexus and Toyota. Any warranty radio that lexus in Britain take out gets sent to Autosound so they know what they are doing. The £800 you were quoted was probably for an exchange radio unit, not just for a repair.
  9. Hiya Guv, Just to let you know i think that was me that you spoke to at the dealer :winky:
  10. You can ring 01737-367-901 and ask for Customer Relations. They will then deal with the Dealer.
  11. Lexus were toying with the idea of colour coding the 5-spoke alloys. I have seen a few sets, they were painted on all the dull surfaces but left the diamond cut surfaces clear. Looked excellent on a black IS with them colour matched. Blue metallic looked quite good aswell. Think Lexus have shelved the idea now but they did look bloody good :zee:
  12. The recall doesn't affect all IS's but youre local dealer can let you know if your car is applicable. You can get the clips for the mats on there own, part number is: PZ410-C0353-BA and they retail at 78p each inc. Vat. Although, to be honest, most dealers will have some lying around that they will give away (and as you all know you don't often get freebies from us dealers :winky: ).
  13. Could see if i can find one cheaper but am afraid i would need a chassis number as there are about 4 different rads for an early IS. If you want to pm me i could find out and give you the part number.
  14. Good to see it fits Aido :) , worth the drive here then
  15. It has possibly got a sensor buitlt into the brake booster but i wouldn't recommend messing with it as the whole system is electric and it would be quite easy to cause some major damage. You might like to know that a new brake booster is about £2000!!!!!!!!
  16. The part number should be 67917-53010-C0. On the system it is called the "rear door scuff plate" and is a piece of trim that covers the sill when the rear door is open. I think we are talking about the same part The price is about £27
  17. They do have a pollen filter of sorts but it is not a servicable item. The fuel filter is in front of the NSR wheel arch under a metal plate.......and is a :tsktsk: to do!
  18. A 30K service is a 10K plus an Air filter.
  19. Prices for these from Lexus are between £36+vat and £40+vat. It does vary on both trim colour and also the age of the car so a chassis number would be needed to get you the right part number.
  20. I'm afraid on your car you will need a new engine ecu and 1 or 2 new master keys. Basically you buy some new master keys but a dealer could not code them to your vehicle as there is no master key to code from, so the keys would turn in all the locks and ignition but not actually start the car. You don't really need a lock set change as keys can be cut to your original key number, although don't know which option will be cheaper. If the locks haven't been changed then a Lexus dealer can find out your key number for about £10 or it will be stamped on either the ignition barrel or drivers door lock. If you want to pm me your Reg or Chassis number i can find out the part numbers for you and get you the proper retail prices so you know you are not getting ripped off.
  21. Try www.autosound.co.uk They do the radio repairs for lexus and toyota.
  22. Nothing wrong with casio! I paid 80 quid for mine and it tells the time and everything :zee:
  23. Only the later IS's have stainless exhausts, early ones had mild steel. Lexus do a chrome tail pipe trim for the IS, it retails at £46 inc. Vat. PArt no. is GBNGA-5S016.
  24. That looks like a MK1 RX bumper protector, they come in at about £200 but there is a black plastic one for the Mk2 that is £120, could get you one for about £80 though. The Bumper protection film is really just a piece of sticky-back plastic and is a right :tsktsk: to put on!
  25. Don't know of this as a problem on the IS's but the discs do need to be beded in gently for a bout 2-3K miles. As an alternative however, a friend of mine has an Ibiza Cupra with Brembo discs and pads and they warped after he didn't bed them in properly. He did give them a light skim afterwards and they never warped after that point as the heat had toughened them up.
