  1. Not true Col. You try plugging in a phone without a microfilter and your ADSL service will stop.
  2. There's no discussion about gold discounts outside of the gold forums please
  3. There's no chance that someone in your house has plugged in a phone / answerphone / Sky box / modem / anything else without a microfilter?? (sorry if you've been asked that a million times by BT - just trying to be helpful)
  4. what he said is true, on any high compression engine, if you only run it for a very short time then the engine will flood. What you don't know however, if whether he's telling you the truth or not - it could just be a pile of junk (sorry)
  5. Wow thanks for the quick answer, this really is a great forum :D I'll give the local fitter (Leighton Buzzard) one more chance, but am desperate to get it sorted, I have only had the car a couple of weeks and am loving it! Brackley,Northamptonshire? Not to far about 35 miles... ← OK mate - if you get stuck, I can highly recommend Tyre Warehouse in Brackley - a small independent but excellent - 01280 706030 - tell them Rod sent you
  6. I know a very good place in Brackley - is that too far for you?
  7. Will this be only down to balancing? I have just had 4 Kumho Ku31's fitted (just brought the car and could not stretch to 4 Pirelli’s/Dunlop’s) Kumho Info I am having similar vibration problems, I have been back and had the wheels re-balanced three times now (the balancing machine had been re-calibrated before the last check) and am still getting vibrations... Not sure what to try next??? ← It's pretty much always balancing mate
  8. It a resistor that affects the air sensor mate - pile of sh1te
  9. Try turning off the router, count to ten and then turn it back on again. You need to re-boot your PC after you do this. Give the router a few minutes to reconnect. Have a look in the router manual if you have it - do the lights on the front look OK? Do you still have the USB ADSL modem that BT sent you - the purple one?

  11. I'd recommend a fully synthetic oil Claire - such as Mobil 1.
  12. Lotus Notes will issue this if the mail.box is full.
  13. I had a nightmare trying to find this for the other car - and eventually found that Toyota allways use a purple / white wire to the clock assembly for the speedo pulse - might be worth a look behind there and try the same colour if you have it. Failing that, try giving the Technical Support people at a SatNav company like VDO Dayton - they have lists.
  14. Have a look here mate http://www.dashmount.co.uk/leatherette_con...lexus/lexus.htm
  15. Whats the difference between an Essex gir5l and a washing machine You can dump your load in a washing machine and it won't follow you around for a month
  16. Seems like they're being pretty reasonable and genuine to me. It'd be good style to reply with a simple thank you I would have thought
  17. Get a second opinion mate - it's too bloody easy for a dealership to say you need new suspension parts. Mine had just started to get a little loose at 160,000 miles.
  18. I still reckon that the best PVR on the market is Sky+ though
