  1. Thanks felix...it seems all German cars are not as good as they used to be...looks like it's a Jap wagon then, Subaru is still winning
  2. I keep looking but seem to go back to the Legacy, not driven one yet but would like to get a 3 car short list then work from that. Also had Saab 9-3 suggested & Volvo something
  3. BMW is the dark side...I will consider it, Im liking the idea of a 330D as the torque will be there, are BMW as good as what people say? I have heard very mixed reports and to me it seems German cars arnt as good as they used to be
  4. Hi LOC, im needing some help. I have had my IS200 for over 4 years and thinking its time for a change, we now have a German Shepherd named Storm & he doesnt really fit Im thinking of getting an Estate but not sure what, I dont want VW or Audi. I would like something thats as reliable as my Lex, something with similar or better economy (im getting 30mpg) also similar or better tax & ins. I keep looking at the Subaru Legacy but dont know a great deal about them, I recon my budget is £5 to £7k
  5. Thanks guys, I had a nice day for it, off to wonder around London on sunday :-)

  7. Went in '99 and 2000 was great fun! would like to go again but would like a VW so i dont feel like a fraud...Could take me g/f's Polo but couldnt handle that kinda drive in it...maybe if the Golf W12 is released
  8. Which part of Essex are you, im near Saffron Walden
  9. Hi. Just had my MOT and also had my front lower ball joints replaced, now tho' my steering wheel is not dead center (after WIM sorted it for me) having the ball joints done would they need to touched the track rods or anything? or is it quite normal for the work i have had done to make it off center? car drives fine but off center steering wheels is just a bit annoying to me. I will be going to see WIM at some point to get all geo-ed up again so they can sort it for me, I was just wondering really.
  10. Weekend finally here and got fitment today...I went with Lenso Samurai SC01's only wheel i really liked that's in my budget, ordered them with budget tyres but the place had sold them by accident so got an upgrade to Falken's which are ok but pretty noisy on motorway, they also broke my locker so i got a set of those also for free. Just got to give them a clean to get the fitting loob off. For anybody thats looking at getting wheels for a good price i can recomend Rochford Tyres near SouthEnd Essex
  11. I have Spax springs on my IS200 Sport, 3 years later still sits nice and comfort has not really changed from OEM.
  12. Paint is pretty expensive so sounds like you got a bargain.
  13. I chuck an STP through occasionally, I also only fill up with BP Ultimate, so my engine 'should' be pretty clean.
  14. My winter wheels are GS wheels...just see if i can find a pic
  15. I agree with the others, this guy is ripping you off. I had a Corrado with a missfire, my uncle is a mechanic and checked out what the small things would be with no joy, it then went to my local garage and they couldnt find the problem, they suggested an auto electrician that i went to see again with no joy...up till now had to pay NO money as no realy work was done. final piece of advise was go to VW which i did they had it a whole day with all there computers on it and a couple of techies and sorted missfire...turned out to be crank sensor and another sensor somewhere. as I have gone on a bit the point is I only payed VW the others said because they couldnt do the work they didnt charge. I feel for you...You could but your old coil packs back on and sell your new ones on ebay...make a bit of £ back.

  18. Hi, Im getting new alloys for my car and just got a call from the wheel center sorting out saying that due to the calipers on the front i may need Wheel spacers of 3/5mm, I dont know anything about all this so is it safe using spacers and will there be enough thread on the bolts to hold things nice? also once on will i need to visit the doc for a re-calibration?
  19. Thanks for your help there Rob
