  1. Just had my 3rd MOT on my '99 (T) 134k miles IS200 with no probs what so ever...what a car! Never had a car like this before, either I have been very lucky or Lexus is just the best car around. Only things I have replaced are due to mods, I have the car serviced every 10k and nothing comes up on that either. A happy Lexus owner/driver B)

  3. Hi Ross Sad news, its difficult to know a cars history when looking at it for an hour before buying it. Im getting a new Rad fitted next week, it is a Toyota Rad and its costing me about £240...pretty expensive! I have seen them on ebay for cheaper (around the £130 mark). I hope that you get this sorted and then start enjoying the car. Aaron
  4. sorry John, Im going to have to pass on this hopefully the later in the season i will do.
  5. Update: Car been in today to my local garage, they have located a leak from the radiator, sooo new rad has been ordered and being fitted next week, damn radiators are pretty expensive.
  6. used EBC in the past and there c**p :tsktsk: , used standard Mintex and currently on Mintex Xtreme and both been very good. Dave at Prolex should be able to sort you out with the pads, Ebay will have some and your local Autoparts should be able to get them too.
  7. Sounds like a coil pack or spark plug failing.
  8. will fit struts but IS300 probably has more above engine to touch the bar.
  9. Good sign that its settled down, Out of interest do you drive the car every day, mine only started loosing coolant once i got a works van and stopped driving the car during the week, before that it was fine.
  10. Happy Birthday mate, hope you have a good one :D
  11. reason rears are different is because I had groove only front and rear, then changed the fronts, at some point the rears may change to be the same.
  12. Hi John. Im a ??? for 2. Will let you know ASAP.
  13. Im having a little coolant issue at the moment, it seems i have a slight leak from the bottom hose. it should be fairly easy to locate if you have a leak as coolant will stain, when getting a new car you wanna keep and eye on levels weekly (you dont know how well the old owner looked after it) Top it up and see how thirsty it is.
  14. used Eagle F1's couldnt get hold of them when i changed last so went with an old favourite Uniroyal Rainsports, as good as the F1's same amount of grip with better grip in the snow (not that we had much) http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Uniroyal/Rainsport.htm I also have a set of winter wheels with Nokian WR tyres, they are very good in the cold and snow, (had better be being winter tyres)
  15. Im sure i have seen this car posted on here before, Maneesh probably knows a bit about it.
  16. i have recently changed from my TRD radiator cap, a higher pressure cap, dunno if this has anything to do with it, i wouldnt have thought it would??? my coolant never moved its only just starting to do it, i have used 3/4 litre topping up over the last couple of weeks, i have only been driving it at weekends, again that might be the problem, not driving it enough.
  17. is it worth doing it to a n/a car, thought 3" was only really worth doing to turbo's?
  18. Noticed that the coolant is dropping when im not driving (when its cooling down on its own) also noticed when car was ticking over that its loosing it from the lower pipe on the radiator/overflow pipe (may just be because level was close to max). Have i read before that radiator seals are not good, I have used them before on previous cars.
  19. Welcome to LOC, I hope you will be happy with your car...its gonna be a long wait to thur
