  1. Does anyone have a very knackard after 2000 IS 200 SE stereo with the CD changer on the top? I need the femail plug part that is in the back, i think its 18 pin. The stereo will have to be butchered for that plug. so i would prefer if i could just have the radio, bottom section, and take it out myself so as to avoid damaging the plug. any help will greatly apriciated and I am willing to pay for it but im not buying a great stereo just to wreck it. If it has a jammed cd I would take the whole lot and as to help you I could remove the cd and fix the top part and send it back as part of the deal so you could sell it or use it yourself. many thanks Craig. :D
  2. Yeah...but i'd rather talk to him about this first before just handing out his number! I'd be interested in this if he can do it. i've done the mirriors and sunroof but not the windows. me too.
  3. It's probably regurgitated its food so it can make room for that silly man that keeps holding its tail and poking it with a stick. dont blame the annaconda, I'd get him too!
  4. thank you, i will keep a look out. :D
  5. That's what I felt when I saw someone else have them in their car... I guess they're all just plastic coated with chrome... which will eventually fade/dull... Look at the standard Lexus centre caps - one of mine are going a bit funny on the chrome... And besides Bernard, cant U get this kinda stuff in HK anyway? D. Mine are actually chrome metal, not plastic. They do have the splits in them, but thats so you can see the red indicator on the dial itself. I think they look great. Thats because your a trev Kaz!!! and wouldn't know bad taste even if a burberry cap slapped you in the face!!! LOL :P
  6. I have seen them with and without and personaly I think they look best without the rear aswell plus the rear is barely noticable anyway. The TRD side skirts are v nice. Chris.S is fantastic to deal with. craig
  7. I want thant bumper it's in america hey mmmmmmmmm better go, ive got some ringing around to do.
  8. fantastic! eh oh, Ive just wet my pants
  9. If its presure it will fluctuate with the rev's when under load, driving around, at high rev's it will read high presure and at low rev's read low presure, if when started from cold the needle will decrease slightly as it gets warm if just left to tick over. if it's temprature it will start low when started from cold and move slowly up as engin warms (obviously). Craig P.S. I miss an oil presure guage because in my old car I could tell exactly how much oil was in the car just by the avarage presure reading while driving (old turbo car so needed the oil levels checking regularly) in the end I only need a dip stick to tell me when it was full after topping up.
  10. could you let me know or post the details, I too have an IS 200 many thanks Craig
  11. shows how good lexus HQ/GB are then. if the dealer knows it will be no hassel to swap them and claim the money. I work for orange and if I did that with phones I'd be shown the door to the local job centre! craig
  12. where is the knight roundabout? I know notts quite well but im not sure witch one it is. my car is blue with cream leather like yours except the alloys so made me think about it. verry sorry for what's happened. Im sure it will be all good though. If they do right it off you can ask for the car back and sell some bits off it to make a bit extra cash. or use it as spares for your new one. I really hope all goes well. Craig
  13. Not quite the same leaugue I know but that happened on my Fiat seicento all gears were fine except second and no matter what i did it crunched into second. the fiat garage tried it and said it was the sincromesh for second had gone and they replaced the gearbox under waranty. I don't think it would need a new gear box if it is that because you can get them referbished for about £150 worst case. Craig
  14. Im in the middle of decorating my house and tho moment and can sugest Dulux Soft stone colour is nice and the carpet is a brown with 'heather flecks in' when its finnished i could post pictures? anyone?
  15. It is not a problem at all. its just the end that has to line up. it will just sit out the barell 5mm further and not affect its use in any way. ive had two blanks bodged by a key cutter so make sure the person that is doing it is confident. Craig ps what happened to the master key? do you still have the fob bit?
  16. I have to agree actualy, It's a shame that local shops go under but I personaly Use the Local butcher and Fruitery that are next door to my work, quality is alot better but then so are the prices. I, in all honesty, wouldn't use them if i din't work here because of the time factor and local councills around here charge £1 for 20mins parking and its just more hassel when you can go to Tesco's for everything eaisaly.
  17. I don't know all the in's and out's but I personaly like tesco's there well priced and there own products are not too cheap and nasty (except for the really cheap baked beans! ). they always seem to have what we want too. I like them, if they can make that much money then well done but I like to see them give a little back like for example Richard Branson is giving ALL train profits to research into cleaner fuels!
  18. error 3 is a jamed cd isnt it. I took mine apart and took the cds out, had to cut one out! really easy just watch the springs on the top. If you take it out and you are unsure pm me or you could send it to me and I'd get it out for you. Anyway Im 23 and I brought this IS200 at 22 for my wife. liked it so much when I drove it home for her as a present I ended up selling my car and using the Lex as our only car. Craig sad thing is I used to sell Burberry and aquascutum when I was 17 to Rich older people usually around 50 ish I really liked the quality of it but then sudenly all young people started to buy the fake stuff and gave burberry a bad name. ask Kaz :D I dont think its just the car I think its all the sweets he keeps in there that atracts them! :P please start a new one as poll. It'd be alot easier to see.
  19. I have just sold a phone to a customer because she is buying a brand new BMW 3series. I asked her a few things and it turns out that she is paying £1800 for satnav alone:excl: then she wanted to conect her bluetooth phone and that's £635 Goes to show that the Multimedia pack from lexus is a bargain! :duh: She was quite annoyed too that she would have to pay £75 for mats when I happened to mention they come free with all new models!
  20. if you take the stereo out there should be a connector in the back of it, have a look for a RED and Yellow single wires, these should be your power in and remote in. remote turns on the unit when key turned and power so that setting are not lost. there's normaly 2 ball clips factory fitted to these, just pull red out and yellow and swap them so yellow lead goes into red clip and visa versa, that normaly cures it. if not you may have to run a wire from the battery to the stereo or spur off from another permenant power wire. someone may be able to give you better advise but this normaly works for me. hope this works Craig
  21. If you need a new battery contact Andre Mahase Premier Batteries UK LTD The Old Barn Station Rd Upper Broughton Melton Mowbray LE14 3BQ premierbatteriesuk@fsmail.net 01664 823891 07883 098934 Tel him I (craig shepherd) gave you his number. he'll be cheaper than halfords or places like that because he supplys halfords! I got one same day from him, he lives in the next village to me and I think it was about £40- £45 when halfords wanted £60. My battery has been fine since and no problems. Im not sure about postage but give him a ring and ask him. he's really helpfull. Craig
  22. Kaz and i had a good laugh on Top gear, in the Carbage section. Have a look for yourself.
