  1. Start a team Lexus crew - then the others PM you and you invite them in.... you all start with 1000 credits (turns) and $5000 - spend them wisely. I had a S2000 which I had tuned to 798bhp - $139k worth - some swine just stole her!!!!
  2. Some tips - dont use more than 10 credits when cruising...... 5 for working..... and don't use extra ones for racing - your credits are scarce!!!
  3. http://www.midnitechallenge.com This game is quite good fun - we have set up a Honda-R team (only 6 of us playing) ... if you chaps decide to join - we can 'assist' in that we will leave your team alone, you leave us - and if someone steals from us or you - let each other know and we'll try to get revenge for each other...... Have a look.
  4. Nope Loz - I stand by my original view.... Some men are wanting the secure, loving relationship just as some women are. But also there are plenty of women just the same as the many men who are not looking for a relationship - they too are after the physical gratification and mental reassurance of a multitude of sexual 'conquests'. As for your current situation - good luck mate - tough one.
  5. Personally I would recommend a full 4 wheel alignment on any RWD car when changing any of the tyres. I appreciate the IS200 isn't a powerful car, but RWD is so sensitive to the set up being spot on - it is worth the cost.... handling is very good when set up correctly. Oh - I am now at almost 18k miles - tyres seem to be wearing fine..... I'll perhaps keep a closer eye on them over the winter months though. I too rate the F1s highly. Toyos are good too....
  6. Steve, it gets harder as the better educated and experienced women don't fall for the lines about how wonderful your hair/eyes/arse is ...... also proportionately more are no longer single. BUT - when you do find one - more chance that it will be fulfilling as the 'quickies' are all out of the system and you don't have all that stupid 'melodrama' over silly little things anymore (no offence men...) :D As for the original question - I actually don't think that men and women are as different from each other as men would like to believe. I think the only big difference is communication and empathy - women are not as likely to respond to 'urges' as their empathy is stronger and they do consider the hurt they will cause (when already in a relationship). Also the potential consequences are drastic for both parties - but worse for the woman.
  7. If you get the choice - go for Kylie - treat her right and she could buy you the Aston!!! :hohoho:
  8. How's it going chaps??? Many more signed up??? Leave your PCs on doing something useful while you chomp on your turkeys over the festive holiday!!! :hohoho:
  9. Errr - not all women!!! I like being independent. I have a boyfriend, we have a very loving relationship, I don't need a ring!!! My career is doing very well. And Tennis is all balls and nets...... and nets should only be used for stockings. As for luck - you can drop on some good breaks - but you still have to work and make the best of the breaks. Attitude and approach as Claire says - but above all, be nice to people... being remembered as a good, honest and nice person is much better than being remembered as just a successful one.
  10. Agree with Matthew - driving too close is agressive and dangerous - there is no place for it. If someone decided they are going to drive too close - I will brake simply to increase my own safety gap to allow for the fact that the muppet behind isn't leaving any.
  11. For those concerned about their data not showing yet - I believe it is only updated once a day..... anyway - well done on playing catch-up..... you need a fair few more yet though! :D
  12. :D Well done Jim - come on chaps....... playing catch-up, but you guys must have some serious hardwear.......... B)
  13. So which do I buy myself for Xmas????? Getaway or Vice City???
  14. Come on guys - what is keeping you from joining your team....... Matt started your team well before we got ours up and running, and we have already overtaken you!! It costs nothing to join, and you just may help with the fight against Cancer. In the UK today over a million people are living with Cancer, and four in ten people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. How many people use this forum? How many have joined the fight against cancer? How much wasted processor time is there out in Lexus land? It does not slow your PC down - I have an old machine.... this programme runs in the background and does not effect your use of the machine. Come on guys........ chase us! (I did have your results so far, and ours - but apparently this forum won't allow dynamic tags......)
  15. Insurance is not included. However medics, marshalls, etc all are. We run strict rules to maximise safety - we are all using cars that are our P&J so discourteous driving is not allowed..... rules include no passing without consent, on the straights only..... etc. etc. It has to be mid-week to keep costs down. Track time - run in 20 minute sessions, so you get 20 mins in each hour. Note the first and last lap in the 20mins should be warm-up / cool-down laps. usually 3 sessions in the morning, 3 in the afternoon - sometimes going to open-pit later on. So at least 2 hours on track. Most road cars and drivers wouldn't want longer.... you will be exhausted - if you try to stay out too long, concentration suffers and this is not a good thing!!!
  16. Don't you mean Eel batter us!? :D Hope he hasn't Prawned his car to pay for all those Gills he was telling us a-trout. Eel be kippered without his Carp.
  17. Mark, I am indeed familiar with the Mugan and HKS parts - I was thinking more stuff developed specifically with the car. A lot of stuff has come out pretty quick without much developement work. I spent a fair bit of time with one of the CTR racing teams earlier this year, and I know there are huge benefits to be had from better breathing - but for the road car the only system that currently has been tested and developed using the UK road car is the Hayward one and currently it still cannot avoid the check light issue due to the two cat sensors. Most of the induction kits lose power (except the Mugan one - one of these fitted and tested recently - very good..... but nice closed box rather than an open filter begging for heat soak.) I realise the car is very new, but many people are impatient, and are ready to spend on something that really delivers. In Japan they haven't taken to it (they get the DC5 - who can blame them!!) so I understand they won't be clamering to spend time on the car. You will get me quicker by email - if you have anything specifically for the car - not an off the shelf product made to fit it - something where the time has been taken to develop it on the car - mail me..... we have a meeting this weekend - expecting circa 200+ Hondas to converge on Gaydon - be nice if I can pass on some news.
  18. You should be battered for that sort of bad pun. This isn't the plaice for it!!! Not ge-trout! :D
  19. Mark - have you done much development work on the CTR ???? If so - please do expand further .... could have some interest - especailly as we have over 100 new Civic Type-R owners in Honda-R ..... and there isn't much out there yet (not stuff developed for the car - lots of bolt on stuff that isn't that good)
  20. Most LS Owners look after their cars regardless of expense, so I would say the Cambelt was changed simply because according to the service intervals (time) it was ready. Also (no offense anyone) most LS drivers are ....errrr..... more mature! :P so you have a nice chance of finding a good low mileage one. Does everything look as it should for a low mileage car? No shiny steering wheel, worn pedels, driver's seat bolsters??? If everything looks the part - great! Finally - the car is Japanese - you would be very unlucky for it to be unreliable, but at the end of the day, regardless of what you paid for it, you are driving around in a £50k car - it will have some £50k car bills..... with my expensive car, I allow for this by having a direct debit into my 'NSX Account' which I then use to cover all services and it has an amount to dip into should anything ever go wrong (touch wood - all good so far - and mine is a '91 car!) Actually - I said final.... but one more point - join the Lexus Owners Club - usesful source of info, friendly people, and you are supporting the Club to ensure resources like this continue. Click 'Go Gold' to join....... oh - you get discounts and stuff too - get to use the VIP lounge at the Motorshow, stuff like that.
  21. If you want to look into it further, there is a yahoo e-group for LPG users and people looking for info. I was looking into this about a year ago, but some cars it works with, some it doesn't. Also most cars (that it works with) return circa 80% fuel efficiency it did before conversion, so if the fuel is half price, what would cost £10 now costs £6.50 (approx.) BUT if in 2004 the tax benefits are reduced - you lose that saving! Also the cars this worked on seemed to be the more 'agricultural' design engines - land rovers, old vauxhalls and granadas....... better engineered engines didn't seem to react so well. The engine in the Lexus is quite an old design and not particularly well engineered, BUT it is much better than the old blocks that seem to work best with LPG ......... actually - I always wondered if these engines worked better with LPG or whether they were already so rough and lumpy, no-one noticed the difference!!! Anyway - short version - on investigation, I decided that it was not something worthwhile to do to my Lexus! (And this was without mentioning the extra weight, the extra dials, the extra filler, the extra tank, the loss of luggage space or spare wheel....... and the loss of any warranty if applicable and the potential to shorten the life of your car - if you want better economy, perhaps you just chose the wrong car?!)
  22. I love the Japanese engineering - but sometimes they offer colour choices that they really shouldn't!!
  23. I think a lawer would be overkill at this stage, and I would not mention the numbers involved either - the letter should actually be pointing out something that I would be surprised if it was news to them - but coming from the owners club, and pointing out the bad PR this could generate and keeping Club members happy is a good thing....... especially as the IS is entry level and the aim for Lexus is that it builds brand loyalty and the current IS owners move up the range as they get older, tubbier and greyer ........ :P
  24. Try this one...... quite challenging! http://www.albartus.com/motas/
