Nice choice of wheel - used to have Snipers on an old Prelude ....... the Kosei wheels are really good Japanese wheels - very light compared with the 'normal' aftermarket wheels..... BUT - make sure you give them a regular coat of wax. Kosei wheels do not stand up to the British winters/roads too well and will deteriate fast - so either take good care and get decent wax on and regular clean/coating ..... or budget for a refurb and repainting properly in about 12/18mths. No real problem as if you go for the repaint - so long as done well, they will be 100% after and no more winter road issue. I wouldn't hessitate to put Kosei wheels on any of my Honda's (none are daily drivers) but if I put them on my Lex - I would get them painted fairly quickly. They look the business though! :D

I have asked people to email me if they want tickets - you would have to have a girly with you (producers want equal amounts of men and women in the audience)..... so if you want tickets - email your full name and the name of the girl coming with you....... once I have the tickets - they will go on first come first served. I will know numbers soon. Just got 16 tickets for 18th June (already all allocated) ..... and 15 of us were there yesterday.

Tis each to their own - personally ...... I'm not old enough for an SC!!! I prefer sports rather than GT and performance rather than cruiser - BUT I can understand people wanting the cruiser type thing. The programme was not saying the Hyundai was better than the SC. Different markets etc. I think it was saying the Hyundai is better within ITS market than the SC is within its. Anyway - it is only someone's opinion...... no need to get upset. So - who would like to be part of the audience????? I am going tomorrow. I have more tickets for the 2nd and 9th July - but they will be for GOLD members only. I will speak with Claire and she will be the contact for you peeps to go see the show being recorded - if of course you'd still like to given the comments....... :D

I have used Mintex pads (on my moddified CRX) but not on a Lexus. They are a totally different class to EBC. Pagid are better still - but expensive!!

Small convo with JClarkson and the little bloke...... (Top Gear) Bought my home speakers off one of the band Embrace. My best mate's uncle's cousin (this is stretching it - lol) is Paul Young. Will be interviewing Matt Neal at Silverstone. Had lunch with Will Hoy. Same again - Uri Geller (sp?) errrrr - forget - had a beer or two - its my biffday!!! :D

I'll be honesy - I take what JC says as it is meant to be taken - tongue in cheek - it is entertainment. I personally enjoy the show. He generally has always slated Jap cars - so what - we don't need others to 'approve' of our choice. TBH though - I don't like the SC either - too bloated. But I like sports cars, and the SC is a GT not a sportscar. (IMO)

Yep - ours is a 6 cylinder 2.0 .... the 318 has 4 cylinder 2.0 litre engine..... The 316 is indeed 1.8, you are right ..... originally it was planned to grow in 2001/02 when the range was revised and more standard kit included ....... though it is now that they are finally realising that the cars should have more kit - starting to finally spec them up a bit more now! Interestingly the 2.0 Diesel is more powerful than both the BMW and Lexus 2.0 petrol engines - not just torque either - actual performance stats!!! I am not a closset BMW fan - I don't like the image - but I won't say they are a poor car when they are not. The 320dES is a very good car and good value too - especially when you consider residuals.

That diddy engine that is actually the same size as our IS200s !!! In fairness - the BMW is considered a higher status car than the Lexus, but the people here generally choose the Lexus as they offer good value for money, don't suffer from the image problems that the circa £20k BMWs suffer from, and are less common. Plus being Japanese you get great reliability.

Even if that were true ..... I still feel sorry for her. The version of events I was told was somewhat different though .... apparently the girl driving was being 'pushed' and pressured by Norris' Evo behind...... she was driving quicker and being badgered. Now obviously - she should have slowed down, moved over, and let him get out of her life - but we have all made errors of judgement and apparently the result was, she was driving beyond her ability, moved offline to let him through, didn't get back on line and ended up ploughing into the tyrewall as a result. We don't know which version is correct - but we do know that both her and her passenger were taken off to hospital with injuries..... and she has a seriously damaged car. I sympathise. I don't like seeing nice cars all busted up.

This is what I was refering to - not the jokes....... I recall the Scooby at Trax that suffered even worse damage - someone put a dentmaster/chipsaway card under the windscreen wiper and you had to chuckle at that...... but saying it serves him right - I reserve that sort of comment for someone driving dangerously and putting other people's cars at risk.

You are not at fault if some scroat steals your car - but you still lose your NCD ..... I think Bobski is right, the MIB only comes into play if the other driver isn't insured ..... Get some quotes and see if a bodyshop can use pattern parts to keep the cost down - explain you are repairing it yourself rather than claiming.

Cripes - you lot are harsh!!!! You sure that wasn't the one that was being harrassed by another Evo - so he moved off the line to let the other pass, then didn't get back online quick enough - straight into the tyres as a result..... As long as he wasn't driving like a muppet and being a hazard to others - I feel sorry for him whatever the cause - none of us would want it to be one of ours.

Sorry chaps - I didn't make it ....... went into a sulk when I was told to come in the Lexus and not a Honda..... :P Lol - okay - that's not true ..... I was helping a mate buy a sexy little 2 seater - she is thrilled - her first proper sports car and it comes with electric removable hard top roof, 160bhp and is still capable of over 35mpg (although nearer 30mpg when it's playtime ...... and possible to get to 20mpg on track!) Glad the location was agreed as good though - I hope it will be a meeting point again, hopefully I'll make it next time.
