  1. Private auction = beware ... Seller will most likely offer the kit to all bidders. None will get it obviously - they'll just lose their money. And because it's a private auction ... Bidders can't contact each other to see if they were scammed too. Oh and the fact it's money transfer only should start alarm bells too.

  3. One other thing.... S/C cradle has a vertical tube which passes between no. 1+2 primaries. Needs to be room for that .... That was something else lacking on the manifold Nemesis had. So... they just left the tube out - Durrrr I wonder if this Austrian manifold is the same one Nemesis had ? They must have got it from somewhere ....

  5. To fit a s/c car, manifold will need to retain the fixing points of the heat shields. The cradle for the s/c is supported at those points. This was one of the problems with the manifold Nemesis got hold of. Left the cradle dangling by one corner because of missing heatshield mounts. Oh and it fouled on the steering amongst other things - yawn Just had a look at the pictures in this thread.... Only the pro-lex manifold has the required mount points for the s/c cradle.

  16. I find myself pondering the benefits or otherwise of a larger intercooler. Larger area should mean a cooler air charge so benefit there. That's about the only pro i can think of. As a cynic ( moi? ) i can think of a few down sides (theoretical at least). Fitting problems - additional height, width and / or depth. What's best - larger frontal area or thicker? The former at a guess. Presumably there's an increase in volume between s/c or turbo + throttle body. So that's more work for a blower to do to build pressure in the system. Is some kind of 'lag' likely as a result + would s/c suffer from this like a turbo ? D'ya ever have the feeling you're thinking a bit too hard about something? Let me go and find some chocolate - that'll help i'm sure
  17. I had shox + springs from a 2002 sport on my 2001 se for a while. The part nos stamped on the shox were identical on both sets.
