  1. As above and the spec sheet is back now so can look at that too or maybe take a copy with you. It can be found here http://lexusownersclub.co.uk/articles/UK%20Lexus%20Spec%20Sheet%20IS200.pdf TG
  2. Sounds like the workshop manuals inc wiring etc might be useful then. You can find them all here http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/index.html Best of luck TG
  3. You probably have the 'styling kit' (aka TTE) front bumper. The washers weren't fitted to cars with that - or rather they were 'removed'. Those bumpers have marks scored on the inside where cut outs need to be to fit the washers. TG
  4. Found this article in todays email from Autoexpress about changes to the IS range. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/256330/lexus_unveils_revised_is_range.html?CMP=NLC-Newsletters&uid=4a6c789c349cdaa4112b04ae427440cd TG
  5. This sounds similar to something I had too. Just done bit of a search again and found the thread I referred to at the time. Some useful pictures show precisely where problem could be coming from. This may be an interesting read ... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=23405 Or maybe the backing plate just needs a shove away from the disc - an easier option first Very irritating those scraping noises Best of luck TG
  6. Andy gave an answer about these springs a couple of months ago as follows .... Hi, they are showing as available stock and I can do them for £152.94 inc vat and delivery. Part number is PZ439-C1721-00. Andy Hope that helps TG
  7. You might wanna sort the links to the pics TG
  8. That's a shame then as think may not be available any more - probably as TTE / Toyota F1 apparently disbanded TG
  9. The TTE back box was made by Remus so is very good quality. Nice deep tone. Not intrusive or too loud - just a pleasant grumble noise. Stainless steel silencer - single chrome tailpipe with outside diameter of 102mm. Here's a pic of one on a car ... Hope that's of some help. TG
  10. These got discussed briefly in another topic couple of weeks ago ... Someone here was trying them ... Sounded quite interesting ... Site was this one http://www.alloygator.co.uk/ TG
  11. Assume you know to press the 'load' button first and not just shove a disc in the slot ... TG
  12. Have you thought of trying 'Lexus Insurance' - 0800 138 3200 I switched to them 5 years ago. Price they gave me was half the renewal quote from my insurer at the time ... Stuck with them ever since ... TG
  13. Let's see if we can get to the bottom of some of this. I have 'accessories' brochures dated May 1999, Dec 2000, Nov 2002 and a price list dated Aug 2000. All 3 brochures list the "Sports Mesh Grille - for a note of sporting individuality". The first 2 say "available to match all body colours except Riviera White" and the 3rd says "limited colours available". That would imply that it's only available in the earlier colours which seems to be the case .... The price list I have lists Astral Black, Aztec Fire, Chamonix White, Granite Sky, Kensington Green, Platinum Ice and Royal Sapphire. And now a scary bit ... Price back then (and what I paid for my first one) was £219.95 inc vat excl fitting. Part numbers for those colours are also on this site here http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=2073 There was at least 1 grille group buy here several years ago and I think from then it's just been a case of clearing old stock. And yes it was still an add on 'accessory' to the IS200 sport although some dealers may have put it on when they sold the cars. Hope that helps a bit :duh: TG
  14. Looking in the workshop manual again .... Electrical Wiring Diagram , POWER SOURCE (Current Flow Chart) , Matrix Scroll down to find the 7.5A DOME fuse and you find ... Interior light, Multiplex Communication System and .... Wireless Door Lock Control :) TG
  15. Looking in that workshop manual again .... REPAIR MANUAL , BODY ELECTRICAL .... there's sections on (1) POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM , (2) WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM , (3) DOUBLE LOCKING SYSTEM , (4) THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM Not sure now if the date option (2001,7_) is much use - seems to just show the sportcross cars :duh: Fuses mentioned in the LOCATION subsection of these sections are ... (1) DOME, MPX-B, ECU-IG, DOOR - (3) DOOR DL, MPX-B, ECU-B1 - (4) HORN, ST The INSPECTION subsections might be a good read too if you're looking for some diagnostics help Good luck. TG
  16. Which fuse is which are listed on the inside of the lid of the various fuse boxes. You can also check the workshop manual here ... http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/index.html Dig down the left hand side as follows ... REPAIR MANUAL , BODY ELECTRICAL , POWER SOURCE , LOCATION (2001.7 -) That shows you where everything is (for LHD and RHD cars) plus fuse details etc etc ... Have fun TG
  17. They look very interesting. Had a look through the gallery on their website but couldn't find a lex. Where did you hide your pics on there ? Did find some wheels like mine though in image no 39 and 40. Tempted to get some but curious about the price. You say 39.95 but on the site it's 44.06 Am I looking in the right place or was that a deal ? TG
  18. Nice colour. There's a list of them and their associated paint codes here ... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=67615 Can't remember name of it but you should find 3 digit code on metal plate in engine bay next to battery on the bulkhead. The mesh grille you're looking at is the 'sports grille' and there's some for sale from lexus Birmingham here ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170496913503 As for the wheels you'll find yourself at the end of a big queue as loads of people would want them I'm sure others will be able to answer more fully ... Welcome to the club TG
  19. Japarts sell the boot emblem set and they're on ebay at the moment ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260614839959 Auction finishing shortly but will no doubt still be ok to call them or get from their website WWW.JAPARTS.CO.UK They're self adhesive so you just stick them on ... Otherwise dealer will obviously be able to get them for you ... TG
  20. Pretty sure no separate relay for those items - from looking in the wiring book ... Perhaps you wanna have a look there too ... http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/index.html Collapsible menu system down left hand side. You want ... 'Electrical Wiring Diagram' , 'Overall electrical wiring diagram [RHD]' The outside temperature bit is called 'Ambient Temp' and is in the Air Conditioner section. The other items you list are in the 'Combination Meter' section. Hope that helps ... :duh: TG
  21. Are you sure you checked all the fuses ? There's some in the fuse / relay box near the battery but also some in each kickwell ? Ones to check may include ... GUAGE (10A in drivers kickwell) MPX-B (10A in Passenger kickwell) DOME (7.5A in passenger kickwell) As well as those places relays can also be found in a narrow relay box near passenger side headlamp. Good luck TG
  22. If my memory is working then I think DOT3, DOT4 and DOT5.1 are all compatible glycol based fluids. The only one to avoid is DOT5 as it's silicone based and doesn't mix with the other grades. TG
  23. You can find the W.I.M. site here http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk TG Have you got the address or a website I can visit? I had a aliment done with Lexus directly and it was out... this was last year. Seems that the standard Lexus setup is a problem for the IS250... I know there was a fix for IS200 but I traded it in for the 250 so I left it. Thanks
  24. Just spotted the 'mark all as read' link has appeared at the top of the new posts list ... Another change or been back ages and just me being blind still using the one right at the bottom of he page :duh: Either way now superb again and back how it used to be .... Posts since last visit + mark all as read back in their places Nice one Steve ...
  25. Have you checked all the brake lamps ? Either side and any centre one too ... TG
