  1. Not sure if this will help but using firefox browser right click on link and select 'Open Link in New Tab' TG
  2. There's a list of colour codes on this forum here :- http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=67615 Hope that helps TG
  3. Well here's a pic of the rears from the manual so that may help Any more info required you can search around the whole manual here :- http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/index.html Dig around the collapsible titles on the left hand side to find what you need. Start at 'Repair Manual' then 'Brake' and so on. B) TG
  4. Just had a quick rummage through the handbook to check and here's the info on wheel options. Wheel size = 17 x 7jj Tyre size = 215/45 ZR 17 Wheel size = 16 x 6.5jj Tyre size = 205/55 R 16 TG
  5. The wheels look like they might be a bit corroded and due for a recon :duh: TG
  6. What are your 'non standard' wheels and what offset are they ? TG
  7. If you haven't seen the snow socks they're here http://www.autosock.com/ Several interesting videos in the 'news & media' section. A scandinavian designed product which is TUV approved and even Good Year are trying to copy it. TG
  8. Well it must have been a very quick look if you didn't see it Try the spec sheet here http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=2100 Welcome aboard TG
  9. There's a couple on ebay at the moment. No aero kit though :( Search for Autoart IS300 and that's them. TG
  10. There's a big list of 'how to' topics in the GS section here http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=60901 One of the ones it links to lists front brake pad install here http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/brake/fbpad.html It says for an LS400 but looks very similar to doing IS200 so not sure if GS300 also like that. There's links to workshop manuals too which might be useful. Found someone else asked the same question recently so here's that one http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=68970 Links to a different 'how to' so perhaps that's more like it. Hope there's something in that lot to help somewhere. TG
  11. They weren't painted - just plain Black plastic. TG
  12. Found the following on one of my parts receipts from years ago. Part no. L08414-53810 Mudguards. Price back then was about 50 quid for the set. Not sure if that will help TG
  13. I went to the firm that were doing refurbs of the warranty exchanges for Lexus on an exchange basis. Not sure if they still do but suspect they might. Firm was called 'Pristine' and they were near Milton Keynes. Went there on my way to the JAE show one year and they swapped them out there and then. Cost about £250 for 4 exchange wheels + moving the tyres across etc. That was about 6 years ago but just looked at their website and seems now do that through a network of agents. Might be worth a look http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/exchange-programme.html You tell them which wheels you have and they send a refurbed set to an agent who then swaps them over for you. Best of luck TG
  14. If your car has the TTE compressor then could be a pre-cat breaking up. These are the catalytic converters in the manifold/downpipe part of the exhaust. Became a common enough problem that TTE started swapping that section for one without the pre-cats. If pre-cat is breaking up you may find bits of it going down exhaust towards the main cat and blocking it up. If this is the case then you'll need to remove the exhaust and empty all the bits out. Good luck TG
  15. Depends what year your car is. They swapped them over a bit later on. TG
  16. Don't just assume main dealer is always expensive. Sometimes have good deals - recently people buying batteries for example found dealer was best. Worth checking with them just in case. Some do mail order - One through these forums here http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showforum=150 TG
  17. Here's a couple of handy places :- Lexus Birmingham have an Ebay shop - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-Birmingham-Parts Japarts generally have quite a few OEM Lexus parts in their store - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/japartsltd TG
  18. There's a 'Traders' section in these forums and you can find said dealer there Here's a link in case you're a bit lost http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=64144 Used them myself and very pleased with service B) TG
  19. Well here's a couple of good ones on the subject http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=46731 http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=46456 Have fun. TG
  20. I always look here if I have to send parcels - http://www.parcel2go.com/ Get a selection of quotes from various companies. The last couple of times I ended up using 'home delivery network' Not sure how large parcels will fare though. TG
  21. Instead of a Haynes manual you can use the one that the Lexus Techs use ... http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/index.html Click on the relevant sections on the left - starting at 'Repair Manual' and click down to find what you need. Hope that helps. TG
  22. Got a little Lexus leaflet in this weeks mag too about hybrid drive but mostly mentions CT200h. TG
  23. I haven't read it all yet but in this weeks mag they've given the LFA a bit of a test. Put it up against another limited release - Porsche 911 GT2 RS There's a label thing in part of the LFA bit "Performance car of the year" TG
  24. I read that Auto Express test yesterday as my old 'el cheapo' twin barrel pump is knackered now. As a result have just ordered a new one from http://www.theaa.com/shop Price of £15.99 includes delivery and I'm lazy so don't even have to go in search of it The review said it's basically the twin barrel Michelin one but with some extra bits and bit cheaper too. Excellent timing again by forums on this site Cheers. TG
