  1. Sounds like the standard lexus ones to me ... 'triloc' type - not sure if that's spelt right. If so then the 2 plastic bits should fit together - 1 goes through the hole in the other ... Then the combined plastic bits will push over the silvery wheel nut cover. If it's a tight enough fit then pulling the plastic handle bit you just made should pull the silvery cover off too. Not sure if that bit of waffle helps :duh: but yes the spinning round bits are nut covers which need to come off. Good luck ... TG

  7. I found this place to be good value and very helpful recently when I got new mintex pads. Does the mintex disc / pad sets too so may be worth a look. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230383401970 Have fun :duh: TG
  8. Here's the official news about it I just got from Lexus ... "the last issue of the Lexus Magazine was sent out in November 2008, and then discontinued from January 2009." So we didn't miss too much then TG
  9. Good question and I'm glad someone else has wondered too. I used to get the magazine quarterly .... just checked and last one I got was 'quarter one 2008'. Having found it for this answer I'm wondering if I may have found why that was my last one. There's a note wrapped around the cover which says "From now on Lexus magazine will be even more intelligent" and on the inside "We'll only send it to you if you really want it" and "please fill in the form attached to continue receiving" etc etc ... Looks like I didn't bother so maybe that's why I haven't had one since Mar 2008. Perhaps I'll check with them and see if that's why ... Any news I find out will get reported back here ... TG
  10. Not sure if this will help but .... what Stav said above was right ... There's a relay called 'A/C comp' in the small relay compartment under the bonnet. That's the long thin relay compartment behind passenger side headlamp near the washer bottle filler ... There's 5 relays in there - starting at the top are 3 fan relays in a triangle, then the 'A/C Comp' relay then the front one is the 'Dimmer' relay. TG
  11. That had me worried as I was basing info on Lexus workshop manuals / wiring diagrams. Wouldn't want to disagree with Chris so just been outside to check that info on my car ... The 120A ALT fuse which all the headlamps etc run off is indeed under the bonnet ... Then it splits into more specific circuits - headlamp fuses (Left upper, Left lower, Right upper, Right lower) are under the bonnet too. But the 'front clearance lights' , 'licence plate lights' , 'tail lights' , failure circuit / warning light run off the 10A 'tail' and 'gauge' fuses in the drivers kickwell fuse panel. Fuses are arranged in 3 columns of 6 - tail is in Left column, gauge in Right column both are 1 down from the top. TG
  12. Just tried it again and seems to work ok ... Pick model from list which for IS200 takes you here http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/index.html Then dig around the collapsible menus on the left hand side to find what you're looking for. What's not working for you ? Wonder if it's a browser issue ... Here's a quote from the page ... "Please note that these manuals have been designed for Internet Explorer and could not work correctly with other browsers. The IS manuals have been modified to work with Firefox but are not 100% finished." Which web browser are you using ? I'm using firefox V3.6.3 with Windows XP which seems fine ... TG
  13. You can find a complete set of manuals here ... http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/ Have fun TG
  14. I think you've just about found the lot .... Not really a trip computer as such ... Just overall mileage, Trip A and Trip B. To reset trip A/B just display it then hold the select button in for a few secs and it'll go to 0. MPG is just shown by the mini gauge in the middle of the speedo. TG
  15. There's another article which I think is (or was ) in the workshop section of this site about installing the grom device .... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=46731 Might find it useful .... TG
  16. Have a look in the fuse panel in the drivers side kick well .... There's a label on the inside of the panel cover telling which fuse is where. The ones you want to look at are both 10A fuses ... 1 labelled 'tail' the other labelled 'gauge'. Hope that helps ... TG
  17. There's a little push button on the drivers door panel near the window switches next to the door lock button. When activated it does exactly this - switches off all door windows except the drivers one. Give it a little (gentle ) push and hopefully will activate them again ... Good luck .. TG
  18. You get some among the goodies when you join as a 'gold' member ... TG
  19. It's Ok. I've PM'd Phil and all sorted now I think ... TG
  20. Yes they did do a 6 mini disk autochanger which attached to the standard head unit. Only for 'non satnav' cars though so I assume it goes in the boot where satnav unit would be. Dug out old accessories brochure from mid 2000 and it was then priced £615 inc vat excl fitting. TG
  21. Probably some kids now boasting about riding a Lexus bike Gave up replacing mine as they just got nicked again - even 'anti theft' ones ... I just put plain black plastic ones on instead and they're still there. TG
  22. cheers tony i've askd them they say they don't do them no more pretty annoyed really. Sorry to hear that bad news .... They were made for TTE by Remus so that might be somebody to try ... TG
  23. Got an email today with a link to the EVO eMag which had a bit on the LFA ... Here'e where the link went ... http://issue.evo.co.uk/1P4b9e20d50f95a012.cde/page/8 TG
  24. I got a TTE backbox from my local dealer. Part no. was PZ439-C0710-00 and was about 200 quid. Not sure if that helps .... TG
