    Lexus are meant to hold there value very well Davecat. You could look at this way that there will be some bargains to be had just before the launch of the new model as some members still like the smoothnessof the straight-six.

    The police said that the stopping distance was in excess of 400 ft! Also concider if you're doing 80 on a motorway and someone comes up behind you at 70 MPH more than you are doing, do you think you would see him coming?

    Ifraz- i'll lend you my glasses next time we meet as you'll remember i already have a LEX plate. :P Fever- someone already has MY02LEX, its on an IS200, and i've seen it around Shropshire, anyway i couldn't buy it as mine is a 2001 car and you cant make it appear any younger. Pehaps i'll get MY05LEX on order :D

    I went for a LEX plate, cos we couldnt agree on a personal one. We found lots on the DVLA site. Best one ive seen is MY02LEX.

    I've got Dunlop SP9000s' all round, and i cant fault them. Done 17,000 and theres still plenty of tread left.

    Hi Teddy, here is my pennies worth. Mine is the six speed manual IS200, i have also had test drives in the Auto IS200 and the IS300. I found the four speed auto of the IS200 was never in the right gear, they are talking of changing it to a five speed sometime. The IS300 was totally different, perhaps as it had more power and a five speed auto. I liked using it as a manual box also, the only complaint was using the paddles and trying to change gear going around corners are roundabouts. Lots of wisted arms. With my manual i often froget what gear the car is in, but it seems to pull in most gears, so its as good as an auto.

    I've applied for Weston Park the same as last year, anyone else going? Steve- do you think we could have a supply of club cards for each venue? Also can we check with Lexus HQ about having them available at the registration desks at each event- could get a few more members.

    I found the "metal" pedals got in the way if i wore the wrong shoes and i could not use the foot rest.
