  1. Belive it on not, it would be a light frontal -if there is damage to the suspension and/or structural distortion which would require jigging then its classed as medium which then requires a front end rebuild. You would need to look at why the windscreen needs to be replaced -was it from the passenger airbag or structural distortion? this would be an ideal project for someone in thier own time, but you need to get real with the amount of time/cost that would be needed. i also think 7K is a bit steep. have seen newer ones in similar condition for less.
  2. just a waste of space( editing 40k, 20k etc) no point whatsoever in posting that.
  3. on the kit i have it doesnt really matter how high/low the sensors are as it tells you to angle the sensors up/down depending how high they are mounted. If you have a hole saw i dont think you need to remove the bumper - i did as i only had a spade bit:( to drill the holes - easier to mark also.
  4. Who's your Daddy? Who's your Daddy? ROB IS!! :wow: yeah and dont you forget it!!!!!! LOL;)
  5. thats ok steve, but next time i want 500 lines:info: of "i must not jump in without reading everything":P:P LOL
  6. another discount added in gold for the highly rated zaino range of car care products.
  7. ps - gold members have a discount on a scotchcal product. u2u me for application diags and prices. ( current models only)
  8. here are some clearer pics with the xpel kit on - invincashield/armourall use the same material so no difference there. the scotchcal looks quite bad in the pic but that is the camera/light. - its not that obvious in real life - also when i bother to clean the edge that makes it less noticable. I would rather have a line than a load of stone chips
  9. ok here is the piccy of one of the sensors.
  10. that is mad - never heard of such a thing! if you have comprehensive insurance then driving another car is normally included - it is on mine.
  11. to notice it you need to switch it on/off when you are doing a steady speed i.e. on a motorway - you will fell the drop then.
  12. i fitted the system myself about 6 months ago, i had to drill some 21mm holes in the bumper ( measure twice, cut once etc) I am happy with the system and find it to be very accurate (to the cm) - only thing i dont like is that when you are not close to something i.e.within approx 1.5m the display hunts around a bit. Apart from that no probs. ill get some pics of the sensors today.
  13. dont be so quick steve! Depending how the interior heater is arranged i.e constant flow or on demand ( i am assuming the heater is constant flow arrangement) it could be some air trapped in the heater matrix. We used to cure this by having the engine at high revs for about 5 mins - that normally expelled the air, if not it was a case of finding the bleed point and bleeding the system. as you say it happens on start up I would suspect this is the case
  14. doubt its a problem- its the same on every car, you are driving a compressor so there will be a power loss. - it may just be more noticable on your GS - i notice it on the IS all the time.
  15. ok kerb weight is weight of car without fuel/passengers/ luggage etc. gross weight ( where i got the 1825 ish KG from) is weight of car under average full load eg 5 passengers, full tank of fuel plus luggage. etc
  16. who paid £10 for insurance to dealers????????
  17. ummmm one prob with the whole thing - what companies do you think the supermarkets etc buy thier fuel from????
  18. hold on a sec -this guy is in the US, and i take it he has changed the original dash for a carbon fiber one?? rather than getting a carbon stick on cover- if so i think the dealer is justified in charging a labour fee.. i.e its not original dash so not thier problem.
  19. mmmmm my owners manual states 1820KG or 1825KG!!!
  20. if you have a paint protection system fitted, you can laugh in the face of those cheeky little stones with impunity - look in GOLD discounts for details.
  21. Just secured 2 discounts with automotive related suppliers - 2 are a must for IS owners!!!!!
  22. when you say in front of the radiator are you sure its the radiator? because the aircon heat exchanger is directly in front of the rad, so you would have had to separate the 2 heat exchangers to get it in. just want to clarify this. i also until a while ago thought i was looking at the rad when looking thru the grill:wow:
