  1. well when the red fuel warning light comes on you have about 10 litres left approx 2 gallons in oldy worldy speak so u have loads left. as for the particles you have a fuel filter - fuel tank is plastic so no probs there only thing you might encounter is you will have a very very thin amount of water in the bottom of the tank but before you will even get close to this being taken into the engine the car would have to be virtually running on fumes! ( you know what i mean)
  2. instead of drilling holes why dont you just push it thru the cable grommet thats already in the top left hand corner behind the battery??!!! it will then come out behind the dash in area thats easy for you to get to - piece of wee wee to get it under the carpet and on the left hand side of the rear bench there is a hole thru to the boot - u dont need to remove the bench either to do this - stick ur finger down the side and pull it away a bit and you will see the hole!.
  3. your not the only one that happens to! it happens to me after about 10 pints of stella! happens to a few mates as well - and as the night goes on these gorgeous women appear out of nowhere!:D
  4. well its different!
  5. i had the same prob on my old car but when i put the cap back on the other way round - writing facing away from me the leak stopped! wierd. but do have a good look at the lip on the rad cap mating faces - to make sure get a steel ruler and run the edge along the top, you can then see if there is a little gap.
  6. mmmm ill order the vintage wax today!! - how much of a profit???£££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££'s
  7. as Zymol might get popular with people on the site i think all of you should have a quick look of this first just so you dont get ripped off! http://www.zymol.com/warn3.htm also a bit strange that on the US and all the UK sites there is not one mention of a liquid polish! - ill email themand see what the response is. rob.
  8. i too thought about the conflict in buzzers but the parking one is a different pitch and its louder anyway so u cant get it mixed up.
  9. i had the burning smell for the first time last night! really stinks - i could smell it as soon as i got out of the car. in the area of the tunnel behind the g/box there is loads of underseal so suspect that this is the cause as the cat is about there as well.
  10. well dont know about hard driving but I am coming up for 3 years now and i havent had the pads changed yet! i had a look the other week and they are about 1/2 life.:D
  11. you will hear a loud screetching type sound as on the inside of the pad is a little tang from the pad springs- this will touch the disc first and you will still have about 2- 3 mm of pad material left so no changing of discs involved - you do get the electric type of indicator but they are crap to be honest. the clicking is the pads moving ever so slightly with in the caliper - just re grease the pad ends and it stops. rob.
  12. nah you have got it wrong - you must be seeing cornish cars everywhere - everybody here knows that you dont use indicators or side lights "to save the battery" huge elderly population here - anyone ever come across a phantom driver metro????? wierdest thing u will ever see!
  13. have a look again - 2 door no roof etc :regan:

  16. on tape? video cameras???? where /when? how much for the copies LOL yes yes im a climber i like hanging off cllifs or down mine shafts on a little piece of rope - or without one for that extra friday feeling rush!
  17. nah, im just into bondage and like metal things LOL oops did i just say that?
  18. you need to get urself some turtle wax scratch/swirl remover - i use it often as the clearcoat on the is if very soft - it works a treat but not sur how long it will take if u have to do the whole car? as even a little mark takes a bit of time. rob
  19. i went climbing with my friend at lands end this eves, we walked thru the main complex -and bearing in mind the rope was on my back, harnesses on and i had all the equip hanging on my belt, some bloke comes over to us and honestly asks " so are you climbers?" before i could reply my mate comes up with " nah we just like to wear our bondage gear in public" i nearly ****** myself laughing!.:D
  20. if you go to your dealer ask them who the company is that does thier dash repairs - mine uses a company called "plastic surgeon" also if they are willing to pay for the repairs get that in writing because if you look the dash is one piece so a replacement wont be cheap!!!!
  21. LOL! now grim - why does your post not surprise me ??? still laughing!
  22. staind - break the cycle coldplay - parachutes pete tong - essential millenium robbie rivera - sounds of miami ( mixed version) david gray - white ladder clubbers guide 2002
  23. you dont have to have any tears/rips in the seal for it to leak, if there is even the tinyest gap - may not even be possible to see, then the water will come in - have a really good look and see if the seal has/is lifted away. as for the repair/warranty I dont see it being a problem at all and the source would be fairly easy to find. I have often used an ultra sonic unit - place the wave producer inside the vehicle, and with a "sniffer" device they go around the seals and where the leak is its indicated on a little guage/series of acending lights etc. your options are to replace the seal or re seal.
  24. claire! i hope u mean the one with all the fluffy bunny rabbits in it? LOL
