  1. Well if you want a dump valve i suggest you start by installing a turbo.
  2. There used to be but everytime we had one our wheels went missing LOL
  3. Due to the incar amp after the head unit if you fit an aftermarket headunit you have to rewire all the speakers and its also advisable to change all the speakers as well. look around the site and you'll find all the threads you need. Stav
  4. Thanks this site only has info for is300 from 2001 on, which has different wiring. Just wanted to add a new Hu to my Rs without bypassing the external factory amp, since this gives a good sound already. But cant figure out a way to keep the factory amp in use with the new HU so i think ill just have to stop using it and upgrade the stock speakers, so i might as well replace them with better aftermarket ones and re do the wiring with better cables. I think thats easier than messing with the factory wiring, soldering and cutting stuff! That can't be done. You can't use the factory amp with an aftermarket headunit. Thats why its no been done. Sorry Stav
  5. It means you can keep all the stock speakers and stereo but still connect a sub,
  6. Is this meet still going ahead? As i'd like to come along Stav
  7. Where can I get clear lenses for the IS?? Me.... price??? :D u got any more clear lenses thx And me!
  8. Personally i suggest before thinking about changing car you suggest changing hobby! Caravaning! LOL
  9. Look through the workshop section and other recent threads in the sound pages and all the answers are there Stav
  10. Posibly best emailing Prolex seen as he's back in the country now.
  11. Check the connections on the back if there the same then i assume yes. If not i've got a 13903 on ebay now: Item number: 220030687199 :winky: Stav
  12. Only a Few: E reg Black Ford Fiesta Popular, owned first thirteen days of my driving career before it met a tree! H reg Green polo (the old estate looking ones) had a bout two months then sold it to my sister R reg Ford Ka2 my baby, had her five years and was sorry to let her go after 5 years but needed to upgrade really. Subtley moddded, changed engine cause i blew it up on the way back from Ministry of sound after a night out, from Morecambe, thats around 250 miles each way for a 5 hour night out! But she took me almost every where and was a great car to chuck round lanes! And finally, 2001 Sapphire Blue Lexus IS200 sport. Great car so far and so much Luxury compared to the KA!
  13. That guides really good though and it's not too hard, the most technical bit is creating the MDF surronds if you need them.
  14. Here is a guide to removing them: it's more work than you think! Clicky Stav
  15. Should do Rob, thats if your the winning bidder.. :winky: bidding war is it then kaz?? you sure it will fit mate? how does it attach? Theres a fitting guide on here:- Armrest fitting guide
  16. First yes its actually two speakers in one and two channel (I.e. 4 wires 2 positive 2 negative) And second don't keep your standard speakers with an aftermarket headunit and amp change the lot:- this explains why:- Why standard rear speakers don't work with aftermarket headunits! Stav
  17. Have a look round the site for the instructions on making a mirror closure kit for your car that Geoffers came up with. The wiring diagrams in the workshop part of the site. That way whenever you lock the car the mirrors fold in. I did it to mind rather easily and just thought it looked trick, never thought of it in a security way like this before!
  18. This what i posted on another topic earlier: It's everything i used to change all my speakers and headunit because my local Car stereo place wanted £160 at least to do it. Wiring diagrams off is300.net Other useful audio posts off is300.net - Esp read the one on why standard speakers won't work with aftermarket headunits! Hope this helps Stav {edited: wiring diagrams from is300.net added}
  19. It really isn't that hard of a job if i'm honest, i researched on is300.net and got guides to taking seats out etc and it honestly took me around 3-4 hours to fit new rear speakers, run phono and amp ing leads down the centre tunnel, and run a amp power cable from the engine bay, down the passenger side and through to the boot, fit a the new head unit and wire it up. the next day it took me an hour and a half to change the door speakers and run new speaker cable from the speakers into the car and down to the boot to the amp. I did spend around a week researching it on is300.net and here but all the informations there. the only specialist tools were a wire coat hanger so i could find a path from the engine to the passenger foot well. Here are some links from this website: Replacing 6*9's Changing door speakers Removing centre console (to run cables to radio) Removing Radio Wiring diagrams off is300.net Other useful audio posts on is300.net - Esp read the one on why standard speakers won't work with aftermarket headunits! Honestly though these instrutions and a set of wiring diagrams i found on is300.net it really wasnt so hard Hope this helps Stav {edited: wiring diagrams added}
  20. 1) new headunit (Tape, Cd, Mp3, DVD, however much you wish to spend) and adaptor plate to fit it. 2) Replacement door speakers (about 5 inch i think) 3) replacement Rear speakers (6x9 by all accounts, plus a bit of mdf to mount them propely) 4)An amp to run the speakers although the headunit all can do this 5) lots of speaker wire 6) and finally a lot of time and patience to take your lex apart to run all the cables, change the speakers, etc, or an audio company that knows how to do it for you. I did it all myself and it's not too hard. Search around the website and there's plenty of guides to taking door panels, rear seats, etc out.
  21. The connectors on the back are different so even though it will obviously fit in the gap the plugs are different.
