  1. Hi, Got my is250 booked for a 30k service ...been quoted £220 then gold member discount on top at 15%. making it £187 is this reasonable? --gonna get my steering issue looked at too as mentioned in a previous post/topic
  2. Hi, I havent had any warranty work done on calipers though front discs (under warranty) and pads was replaced back in October 08. Its done just over 33000 miles, owned since new sept 2006. I live in Peterborough though travel to Leicester everday.. where is WIM located? In the past I have had only the simple tracking done on the front two not by lexus but by a reputable company in my area. Is this a known issue? something the warranty can cover? Its make me feel sick when the steering like this!
  3. -It merges both left and right when on a straight...to keep the car straight the steering wheel is slightly to the right -When i brake from 40mph the steering will merge sharply right (mostly worried about this) -when on the motorway steering feels really arkward when overtaking and switching lanes its like i dnt have enough control -its been alligned twice and been tolded its the brushes? anyone else with the same problem or got some advice?
  4. when you push it, does the green light come on (on the button).. so when you depress the clutch the green light is on.
  5. Well I got these vouchers from Shell £4.50 off my next fill up on v-power...which near enough covers the difference in price.. lets just say im not happy at all! with my usual fill up (always use the standard shell fuel) i get between 370-390 and that was constant every time.. now this time on v-power i only got 260-265 miles on a full tank :-| :-|, filled up again with standard fuel and the read out range is 345miles... (usually the range approx is true and i used to get 380-390miles) before this crappy vpower... anyone else experience this? this is on the 250 auto btw

  10. The actual wipers don't heat, if you lift up your wipers you'll see heat strips that defrosts them when needed.
  11. heat the letterings with a hairdryer.....then grab some dental floss or some threading and place it behind the letters and slowly swing it side to side with pressure and start to bring it down to take it off wipe with lighter fluid after to clean it up...
  12. Sounds interesting!..can we see pictures/ and or a sound clip. did you import it?
  13. Hi I have the same problem when dropping off my IS250 for warranty/service work and I'm 20! I'm with directline, quick call to them and they sort out a cover note for the loan car F.O.C. (no admin charge!)..and as long as its not a higher insurance group no problems! Hope this helps
  14. It will move into 6th Gear automatically when your going fast enough for the car to move into 6th Gear. I havent noticed that it will take longer for the car to move into 6th simply because its cold outside or to reach op. temp My understanding is, that the lower gear read out on the dash is "what the car will automatically change up to" and therefore you have control using the paddle shift to change higher manually.
  15. What was your previous car? was it RWD?...i felt like that after driving a FWD, but got used to RWD now...love it!
  16. Hi, I know that the older Samsung D900 was compatible. So I see no reason why the new one wouldnt The only functions that may not work is: Contact data pushing - thou on the move you cant scroll thru contact Battery/Signal status on screen - If you have no signal you cant dial anyway! Otherwise the bluetooth system should work fine
  17. I like the front lip. Did you fit this yourself? where did you purchase it from?. not to keen on the rear lip spoiler on how it dips into the badge - is it colour coded?
  18. Hi, I highly doubt that the dealer would except another oil supplied by the customer. How can they guarantee that it will perform according to spec? Shop around, ring other dealers and get some prices. Its harsh, was that £100 for the oil only? or the whole service?
  19. thinking of gold plating the badges on the lex....anyone had this done or recommend s place??
  20. Hey Your best place to go is to order it from Sewell Lexus on ebay or direct from here or direct to the product here With todays rates its around £107 plus shipping costs. I got mine for £173 back in sept 06 that included next day delivery and then another £100 fitted by Lexus Leicester (I didnt want to run around looking for someone to fit it) Look here
