  1. Say Lexuholid. Do DMD do a mobile refurbishment service or are they based wihtin hailing distance from London. I was looking at wickedwheels.co.uk but they charge more than lexus prices for around £65 + vat per wheel....
  2. well - i manged to curb all 3 of my alloys on the 250 in the past 4 months. the way the new alloys are set menas you cannot touch the curb at any point....even gently. The safest way i found to go on a pavement is directly infront, unlike the old IS , the IS250's alloy will curb more! you'v ebeen warned! *grin*
  3. i love the auto, when you want that extra kick, jsut step down you can totally focus on driving withotu using yoru triptonic 99% of the time. Have done 2842 miles now...wonder when i can redline.....
  4. there is a BACKup entry system for keyless entry cars, like the 250 which relies on old technology and no batteries *grin* Once inside, you should be able to start up yoru car as normal. but havent tested it...yet
  5. I guess we can try it out with a partner. sounds painful... I want one override button for my DVD!!!!!
  6. dont you love it when its all nice, new and clean!
  7. heh. happy new year again. Ahmet, i could do witha copy of those lovely MTV hits!
  8. all the best TONY. I'll probably need to visit you in the distant future. ALl the best on the other side! goodbye today. it has been poignant. tommorow. we will rule the world!!!!!
  9. STD + MM or SE+Auto+MM or Sport + MM
  10. Well an IS200 is quite affordable now (with mods even) or a 250 if you can stomach the price hike :)
  11. Good to hear youhad a similar decent/great first experience of recieving the beauty in the handover room. That was the same feeling I had when i first laid my eyes on it. I was quite sad to hadover the old IS200 up to that point. I remember spending abotu 40 mins fiddling with the satnav outside the dealership. hahah. So far, no wind noise or rattle. Depending on the height of the seat and recline, your Left leg rests differntly on the transmission tunnel. Since I dont actaulyl use my left leg anymore due to it being an auto...it wasnt too much of a problem i thought
  12. actually - I dont want an engaging ride. 6 years of feeling every bump over a hump on the IS, this move up to the IS250 thankfully has better suspension, with sufficient feel going into corners and better handling. The 250 does what you want it to do, and in my opinion, automatic triptonics should be a permanent for all models because that is how good it was over the standard during testing
  13. an is250 where the darkness reigns. Superb!
  14. You've already lowered it to the max? Hmm, then the only other thing is to lwoer yoru suspension to sport settings for a more engaging ride. the pwoer and acceleration is there already and decent against existing street cars if you want to do traffic light runnings/racings *grin*
  15. yeah - only the Se-L and maybe the sport give you HID...no problkem.; get prolex to do an upgrade!
  16. they trying to ruin lexus sales? or have a serious laugh?
  17. almost same combo - Black with black interior, SE Auto MM Pack. I get 28-36MPG so I think its economical (than teh previous IS200) Try dropping the seat lower to get a mroe engaging ride?
  18. damn - didnt know those trims could snap. Where was the screen chip (me wonders if its better to watch these guys patch it..as their last patching on the IS200 wasnt so smooth. it flaked after a few weeks
  19. excellent. You'll have to give the specs..and colour Have to say -my next upgrade is definately to upgrade the lens lights to HIDs
  20. man - sorry to hear bout that stone chip. what do you mean exactly abotu a windscreen trim. any photos to show? (I really try to steer far far away form other cars......esp on motorway, now with all that grit on board.....)
  21. dang - there are not documentaiton of switching off the annoyign no seat belt sign, or the I agree on the gps unit or the DVD enable function...:(
  22. I didnt bother personalising it, as it did keep resetting on the ole is... but let me knwo if it works out well..
  23. Ah. well. hold on. Your sports version has auto. Well i guess then the handling must be different. i.e lowered suspension and nicer alloys?
  24. Congrats. We have to compare teh ride as its almsot identical except that mine is an SE Auto/triptonic with ML
