  1. Having done some investigation, I believe per EU regulation 2560/2001 prohibits banks from charging more for sending or receiving a cross border transfer within the EU than for sending or receiving a domestic transfer. However this regulation only applies if the funds were sent in Euro funds (rather than being converted to/from £ before sending by the overseas bank) and for amounts <= €50,000 and provided the IBAN of the receiving account was given. So technically I think if you have euros on hand for your bank to transfer then it should be free, but the bank will most likely either require you to have a foreign currency account first, or some other stupid way to try and rip you off of more money.
  2. I'm going to be at JTS w/ TOC, I might be able to help. I know how to change a tyre/wheel, but anything else somebody got to tell me how to do it
  3. If you value seeing behind you while reversing, I would advice against LEDs as the actual light output usually is lower then normal halogen bulbs. For 7440 and other common LED bulbs, I believe several LOC members including myself have used this particular seller (warden_jp2002) and the products are of good quality. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/id=70019414 Don't forget if you use LED bulbs for indicators, you either need load resistors or a LED specific flasher relay (also sold by mentioned seller), I got one installed in my IS and can confirm that it works.
  4. If you would like to join the Toyota Owners Club on the club stand, please complete the attached form and send it back to JTS organisers. The deadline for entry is 28th May, don't leave it too late though if you want to be sure to get the pass in time for 1st June. Don't forget it is the TOYOTA Owners Club, not Lexus.
  5. Is this now happening on the 8th? If so I can attend, otherwise if it's 1st then I have to miss this one due to the JTS show in Silverstone.
  6. No and no, although the application does ask you for your Lexus model. My ticket is about £70 each way.
  7. What time are people planning to get there?
  8. You know you can get them from the UK too right, the left one is only like £14, you didn't have to travel to Tokyo for that I use the TRD round leather one (left), unscrew the chrome one then screw the new one in, easy!
  9. You have to get your own Eurotunnel ticket. We'll be meeting at Maidstone Services M20 J8 at 11:00 on 4/7 and convoy the rest of the way to Germany. Just out of curiousity, how much did your bank rip you off for making an international bank transfer?
  10. Several of us will be as well. The official thread: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=47225
  11. Good tips for the footwell lights on using the ignition barrel timer, as I plan on wiring them up sometime in the future, once the fiasco of the under door light is sorted (to clarify light up the ground as you step out type).
  12. I understand where Geoffers is coming from, thus I have sent my apologies and thanks again. I do wish I have been given the benefit of a doubt as I feel I have been courteous at the meet and in my corresponding PMs, but no harm done I'm willing to admit my shortcomings. So far Tried replacing SRS-B fuse, no good. Replugged connectors, no good. Problem is I have no circuit tester, so I can't say for sure if there even is a current running through the two wires leading to the connector (under door LED strip tapped in). Potentially a door sensor problem, unfortunately there is so little slack on the connector on the driver side I can't even disconnect it to try it on the other side, guess will have to get a new one and try it out. Am I missing something else? Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
  13. I do apologise that I had not responded as I was going to tackle it last weekend and responded with any queries, but I thought the footwell lights was straightforward and attempted that first, but managed to somehow messed it up and never got round to it In my defense though, I did "thanks in advance for your assistance" when I enquired for progress, but I'm sorry I didn't follow that through after you sent me the diagram If you are still willing to help me with the wiring of the circuit diagram, I do have some more queries......
  14. Unfortunately I don't have a circuit tester, but the under door LED strip nor the door marker seems to be getting any power, it defo was working before the door card was taken off, so I can only imageine something got shorted. Open to suggestions, I'm totally baffled.
  15. Much appreciated, I tried all sensible fuses and nothing worked.
  16. Does anyone know if the door marker lights on the front doors run on seperate fuses or not? My passenger side stopped working while I was trying to install an under door light (and yes I have tried changing the bulb). If they are on seperate fuses, does anyone know which one it is? The description on the fuse panel isn't very helpful. Otherwise if it isn't a fuse problem, anyone has idea what might be causing the problem?
  17. You may want to give a little leeway for ebay listing fees, and paypal fees as well if you paid via that method. Pretty sure he shipped 1st class though on mine, although we all know the reliability of Royal Mail is renowned
  18. I think mine took nearly 2 weeks to arrive, I did e-mailed him about 1 week in and he explained his situation, so I was ok with it. Impressions so far, again I stress these are totally subjective (and biased?), so don't hold me against any claims if you don't see any difference. Increased hp/torque Can't say there is, but the car does handle fuel cuts smoother. Improved fuel economy So far none observed. Stabalised idle Since idling has never been a problem, can't say I've noticed. Brighter lights Seems to be a little bit brighter, but without any proper measurements hard to say. Quicker engine starts Again my engine always rolled over first time round, so no difference observed. Reduced emissions Not measured. Reduced audio noise My local radio reception (Northants 96) appears to be better then before, doesn't get overridden by another nearby local radio (Horizon MK). Disclaimer Totally subjective, unscientific observations, not properly measured, may be biased.
  19. I'm travelling at the following times: Eurotunnel Outbound Friday 4/7 12:20 Inbound Monday 7/7 14:20 Staying over at a hotel in Koln on Sunday night, might as well do some sightseeing in the city after going round the ring.
  20. Well if it doesn't clash with WIM open day, I might be able to make it.
  21. Personally I think it looks better that the rear tints match the windscreen, but then I'm biased caused I have the same setup on mine.
  22. Hum.... looking at the number of people unavailable, I'm going to give this one a miss.
  23. In case if you don't know, WIM refurbish wheels too (it has a working relationahip with BJV :P ).
