  1. My NX350h is in the UK Premium Plus specification (so 20" wheels and the 14" screen). I must say that personally I am pleased that I chose a higher level of specification over the base option (and that I could afford it of course). Most of my reasons for saying this are from a "I prefer the way it looks" perspective rather than from a usability or comfort preference. In my humble opinion I think the NX looks better with the 20" alloys however, as has been said already, you will "pay" for this with a less comfortable ride compared with 18" plus they are run flat tyres which are more expensive to replace. With regards to the size of the infotainment display, again just my opinion but I think that the 14" display utilises the screen housing much better than the smaller 10" display. With the latter there is (IMHO) far more piano black plastic on the surrounds. I'm not sure about any differences in the functionality offered but if you ditch the in-built navigation and audio controls for either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto you can probably live without anything that might be missing with the 10" version. I know that had I gone for the "lesser" options with regards to the alloys and the screen I would have lived to regret it once I saw a NX in a higher spec. Also there are other "nice to haves" that come with the higher spec. Obviously these things are subjective choices and personal preference and no doubt other owners would disagree. At the end of the day, it basically comes down to what you can reasonably afford to pay. Last word of advice from me - don't act on impulse and overstretch yourself with regards to spending money on a car - you'll only regret it later on when the novelty wears off. With regards to the turn signals, as @ColinBarber quite rightly states - all UK NXs come with LED indicators so we may not be able to help you with that question. I believe, however, that some lower spec NXs in the US and Canada have the standard incandescent bulbs. So you may want to ask that particular question on the US "Club Lexus" owners forum as I think that some owners on there have attempted a conversion to LED.
  2. I removed the factory-installed screen protector soon after collecting my NX350h over 18 months ago and it has been "naked" ever since. So far, no scratches or fine lines on it (and I do wipe it clean regularly) - famous last words! You may be aware that there are after-market screen protectors available from the likes of Amazon but in my opinion they spoil the look of the display.
  3. Yes there is. Page 120 of the PDF version of the multimedia owners manual describes how to connect to a WiFi network. Obviously the car will only be connected when powered up and also I'm not sure if the car will automatically connect each time.
  4. I can recommend these. I installed the same ones in my 350h over a year ago and they are still perfect. And at a fraction of the price of the Lexus OEM ones too. Just be sure to check first that you have the necessary wiring behind the blanking plate in each front door. Also, if ordering, choose the "small plug" option on the order page.
  5. My previous 2018 NX300h gave me a warning (in the instrument cluster) after a short while when I was using the radio in ACC mode. I'm pretty sure that the Gen 2 NX would do the same but I've never tested it. As others have said - always have the car in READY mode when sitting in the car idle and listening to the audio. Also, I find that with the A/C and fan off and the lights switched away from AUTO, the car can stay in EV mode for quite a while before the ICE kicks in (mine is the standard hybrid).
  6. I would imagine that this is enabled by having a distinct Spotify app built in to the Jag's infotainment system (similar to what Lexus have done in the US with Apple Music and Amazon Music). I can't see that kind of thing coming to UK Lexus cars anytime soon though.
  7. I agree that no wireless Android Auto availability in the new (or even slightly older) Lexus infotainment systems seems a bit strange. I wasn't aware that the other brands you mention have wireless AA in the UK as I thought that this was a general licensing issue with Google that affected all UK (and, I believe, European) cars. Anyway, I'm not holding my breath for when Lexus (and Google) get round to sorting this out and actually enabling it. In the meantime I will continue to use my (faultless) AAWireless adaptor (search for it on these forums or on Google in general if you're interested) which gives me virtually the same thing as wireless AA. As for your second question about Spotify - I don't believe that this is possible. Happy to be proven wrong though.
  8. I think this is a dealer-enabled configuration change only (but can also be done DIY via an OBD2 adapter and associated app, such as Carista).
  9. Hi James, congratulations on the car. To set the the order of the apps in AA..... open the AA settings on your phone press on "Customise launcher" from the list of available apps, hold and drag each app up or down until they are in the order you desire (be aware that AA typically has 4 apps in each row, so to get Spotify on the far right you'll need to place it at position 4 or 8 or 12 (etc.) in the list press the "back" arrow to save your selections Hope this helps.
  10. Ah, so you mean the "Black and Rich Cream" interior spec? (Which I have in my NX by the way). If so, and you have all black instead, I would personally be rejecting the car. Whether you feel the same way I guess depends on a number of factors, such as how much you really want your original, chosen, interior and how long you might have to wait for a replacement car to become available.
  11. Are we talking about just the headliner here or the whole interior (i.e. the seats and door panels; etc)? If it's the former then I might be inclined to let it slide - especially with the offer of some compensation (financial or by other means) from Lexus. If it's the latter then I would definitely be very dissatisfied and would be exploring my options around rejecting the car and getting Lexus to source one in the correct specification pronto. [BTW, I'm assuming that it's just the headliner as I'm not aware that you can spec the NX with white seats; etc.]
  12. With autumn and winter (and therefore wetter weather) on the horizon I am considering ordering a set of mud flaps for my NX350h. My main reason is to (hopefully) reduce the amount of muck and spray that collects around the tailgate area and rear bumper. May I ask others on here (who have mud flaps fitted to their NX) whether they are useful in this specific regard. Thanks.
  13. How about a Kia Venga? Mrs B has one and it's reliable and surprisingly spacious. I believe they were discontinued in 2019 so you should be able to pick up one on the (relative) cheap. You might even find one with the some of the 7 year warranty remaining.
  14. I'm not sure to be honest. My phone is a Samsung (running OneUI) which works perfectly - with or without the AAWireless adaptor. I assume that you have Googled the problem or visited the Huawei online forums?
  15. First of all - congratulations on the new car. There are adaptors on the market that convert wired Android Auto to wireless (for example, search "AAWireless" on this forum and the internet in general). However these may not work either if you can't yet get a wired connection with your Huawei P30 Pro. As your son's Google Pro 7 is working OK, then it suggests that the problem is with your phone. What error messages, if any, are you seeing on the phone or the car's Infotainment system when you try to connect?
  16. Are you saying that the connection that is being dropped is the hotspot (i.e. the WiFi) connection? If so, have you checked the status of the hotspot on your phone when the car loses the WiFi connection to the phone? Is the hotspot still active or has it deactivated? That might help with further troubleshooting (e.g. there might de a default setting somewhere on the phone that is controlling how long the hotspot remains active). Also have you tried the other method of WiFi connectivity on Android phones, namely "Bluetooth tethering"? This is similar to a hotspot but is enabled when a Bluetooth connection has been made on the phone. In theory as far as your car is concerned there should be little difference between these two methods (although it's possible that the Bluetooth tethering method may be on a different SSID). You'll find the setting to enable it on your phone in the same section as the hotspot controls. I'm not sure whether you can automate it though.
  17. @Mattsneaker Just in case you were interested in any progress on this..... I reinstated my Carista app subscription and plugged the dongle into my car but unfortunately the "Instrument lights dimming sensitivity" setting was not listed under the Customisation section of the app. There was a setting called "Instrument lights restoring sensitivity" listed which I guessed might be related to how dark the environment would need to be before the (dimmed) screen returns to it's default brightness. I changed it from NORMAL to DARKEST (thinking that the default brightness would "recover" sooner, even at very low light) but it doesn't appear to have made any difference one way or the other. It's possible that the "Instrument lights dimming sensitivity" setting may be configurable via Techstream (which I have) but I'm not sure I want to go to the bother of all that. I realise that the screen dimming setting could also be related to the setting that controls at what level of darkness my headlights come on - but I don't want to play with that as I'm happy with that setting. C'est la vie.
  18. The frequent screen dimming and then brightening behaviour under certain conditions is a bugbear of mine too. I believe that the sensitivity of this can be altered - but only by a dealer or DIY via an ODB2 dongle and associated smartphone app (like Carista) or your own copy of Techstream. I think the setting to be changed is called "Instrument lights dimming sensitivity". This setting exists on other Lexus models (see link below) and may well be present on the NX also. I might reinstate my Carista app subscription for a month and try to change it. [Thanks to forum member @IS300FSPORT for listing this setting on another thread specifically about the Carista dongle]
  19. It does seem a bit strange. I don't know anything about the logistics of ship movements and docking so I can't say what has happened here. I doubt that your car would be unloaded at Zeebrugge and then make it's final journey to Portbury on a different vessel, but who knows? FWIW, that's definitely not the way my car got here in 2022. Maybe there was insufficient capacity for the ship to dock at Portbury yesterday so the decision was made to carry on to Zeebrugge (and unload cargo destined for Brussels) before returning to Portbury to fulfil the UK deliveries? Just a wild guess.
  20. Hi @Deb The Portbury Docks arrivals webpage (https://www.bristolport.co.uk/shipping/forward-movements) lists the Freesia Leader as arriving on Friday September 1st. Not sure why it did a u-turn though. What port is it heading for in Brussels? According to the above webpage, Zeebrugge is it's final destination.
  21. I'm quite blasé about a hardcopy of the owner's manual. My (February 2022) NX350h came with it but I can't recall ever using it as I prefer the online PDF version and it's search functionality. On the other hand, I do put a lot of value in having a service book. I know that Lexus do (attempt to) keep the records online but I like to have a tangible record of my own should I come to sell the car to a private buyer. Also, like others on here have said, I find that Lexus aren't great when it comes to recording this information. For example, the 1st year service that I had done earlier this year isn't recorded on the Lexus Link app - just the associated hybrid health check. This shouldn't be a problem should I part-exchange the car with my Lexus dealer but might be if I sell it privately.
  22. It's the same for me too. I also can't see an option to view more. Also, unless I'm going mad, it looks like the whole section relating to previous journeys has been removed from the MyLexus web portal.
  23. I don't believe so. When I installed the new + app, I had to register my car (Connected Services; etc.) to it. Now when I launch the old app it tells me that my car has been "migrated" to the new app and won't let me go any further with it. So it looks like, although they can be both installed on your phone, it's one or the other when it comes to connecting to your car. That's how it appears on Android anyway.
