  1. You can use the same firmware as the IS (it is the same stereo) if you want to update. See here: I did this with my RC-F when I bought it.
  2. It's because of Pearl Harbour. There are a few Americans like this.
  3. I know at least two dealers who have ordered demonstrators (in yellow!) and are expecting delivery soon.
  4. That's the autobox oil cooler. There should be two pipes at each end which connect back to the autobox.
  5. This is confirmed, because look at the original launch of the third gen IS, the sales of IS250 were nearly non-existant with most people choosing the Hybrid model.
  6. Yeah, and i think it's a trashy one ! Should help it last a few more pages
  7. It's probably not out of it's corrosion warranty, although there may be an exception in that warranty for the wheels.
  8. Step 7 may leave some surface scratches in the clear coat but they will not be so deep, the idea is obviously to remove any excess basecoat. However by using polish in step 16 you will remove any scratches you created in step 7.

  10. Let me just leave a picture of this underpowered 2.0 turbocharged car here
  11. No Thanks, I don't really like the way Adrian Flux seem to spam automotive forums and never really contribute. To update i ended up renewing with my current insurer and reducing voluntary excess to zero so am left with the mandatory at £500. Not great, but not easy to make a significant improvement. Some good debate in this thread, it's enlightening.
  12. I'm assuming that the towing weight on the IS300h is not so high either.
  13. Somebody has already looked into this on the RC-F in the US and unfortunately the connectors to the screen are different :( https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rc-f-2015-present/850791-2017-is350-2015-rcf-navi-screen.html
  14. Congratulations !! I have had mine just under two months and enjoying every drive.
  15. I understand what your saying here, but don't forget the excess is predominantly for repair to your own vehicle, hence why it's normally described as 'Accidental Excess' or similar. The mandatory requirement is more to cover third party losses, which the insurance company are required to pay out regardless of the excess position.
  16. My insurance is up for renewal and I notice that since going from my IS300h to the RC-F that the excess has increased from £250 to £600 (all other factors the same). When using one of the comparison sites I notice that the cheapest excess (with a reasonable premium) i can obtain is £450. I'm a little surprised as I recollect excesses only ever being a couple of hundred pounds, but it seems like it is being loaded up for this car. I can understand why the insurance companies may do this but i'm curious what others have as an excess on their F-Cars.
  17. Thanks, good feedback. They are stunning looking cars and no doubt I will get to take a look at one soon, but no purchase until i have the RC-F out of my system.
  18. Congratulations! How did the drive feel in comparison to your RC-F? I'm guessing because you ordered, favourably.
  19. Fair point I guess. Honda do something similar with their triangular outlets, but always look a bit crap when you can see the round pipe inside.
