  1. That's not necessarily the case http://www.thedrive.com/news/13857/according-to-reports-the-upcoming-toyota-supra-will-have-a-manual-transmission
  2. Nope, Surrey Rolling Road only have a chassis dyno so the power will have been measured at the wheels and the crank power estimated. As I mentioned before, measuring this way you only end up with an estimated crank figure as the only way to obtain a true crank power figure is to remove the engine and place on an engine dyno. However it is interesting that an RCF was dyno'd the same day and they reported a significantly higher crank power figure, however you don't know if they were using the same or different algorithms to estimate crank BHP. Do you know what the wheel HP figures were for both cars ?
  3. Was this measured on an engine dyno or a chassis dyno? The only true way to measure engine BHP is on an engine dyno, anything else is an estimate, and those estimates are a lot less accurate when the car has an autobox like the IS-F.
  4. It is my destiny to make it onto such a list
  5. There is nothing in the seats to leak. That looks like somebody has spilt something previously and not cleaned it up quickly enough.
  6. The one in Coventry does look very nice. It's the same spec as my own apart from the dark wheels. I assume you know it has 31k miles on it, not the 27k as per the advert? Get your negotiating hat on and you should be able to get it for a good price
  7. You need to check the small print on this, as the policies I have seen are worded as 'original specification' parts, which would include pattern parts. However luckily there are not so many pattern parts around for Lexus cars.
  8. I just looked it up and there appears to be no MAF sensor on the IS-F, therefore i assume it uses a speed density system for measuring air and their will be a MAP sensor somewhere, which doesn't normally have a separate filter, but could possibly.
  9. Looking very nice I think some of the interior colour combinations are a little strange on the LC, but that looks great and a good compliment to the red.
  10. Woo Hoo !!! Try to see if they will throw in new valve(caps) as well ;)
  11. Looking very nice, bet you can't wait until Tuesday !
  12. Chris - Have you picked up your LC yet ? Not sure if maybe there was another thread or something but was hoping to see some pictures and feedback in comparison to your RC-F.
  13. I use Higos Insurance with agreed value for my Supra. Is always less than £500 each year with all mods declared. Definitely worth a try.
  14. All that effort and money spent on products and he has different types of tyre on each wheel (assume they came from the same axle) He didn't even remove the centre badge !
  15. I use PoorBoys Wheel Sealant on all my wheels. It's not as long lasting as some of the ceramic coatings as it's just a wax, but it definitely makes a difference as wheels are easier to keep clean once coated.
  16. Yes, but if your car is written off do you really want to have to fight with the insurance company for up to six months, refer to financial ombudsman etc, etc just because they don't want to uphold their part of the contract? Unfortunately I learnt my lesson the hard way and because of that would never touch Admiral or their sister companies with a barge pole.
  17. Is it not still under warranty? I think some of the Optifit batteries come with more than a years warranty.
  18. This is not the normal use of a GAP insurance policy, but I guess it would work. I just wonder if the cost of regular car insurance + GAP insurance is less than having a agreed value policy. I previously went through a big fight with Admiral and won, but was so ****** off that they wanted to fight me every step of the way so my Supra is on an agreed value policy and I should probably consider the same for the RC-F
  19. Yes, just like changing the washer fluid for non-Lexus brand instantly voids the warranty
