  1. Managed to get my insurance for about £400 less than my current insurance quoted, and my 60k service for just over £400, so I can afford to keep it for at least another year :D :D providing I don't have any bad luck on the road for the next 12 months
  2. no i'm quite easy on the pedals, thanks for the help, i'll go with the 28.2 bein an auto then, thanks again
  3. i've just been lookin at the spec sheet, and i'm unsure of the differences between the mpg figures, ie, I don't know what extra urban is compared to urban, obviously i've noticed that extra urban is lexus friendly, and I know I only get roughly 25-30mpg basically, i've been asked to work the next four months nearly 25 miles away instead of the usual 5, and they dont want to pay the extra fuel, however, I don't earn enough to be taken for a mug so I want the fuel money. half my trip is motorway and the rest just normal towns, so is that just urban or a combination of urban and extra urban? I need to make sure i'm presenting the right figures when I ask for my fuel money
  4. I was told 60k or 6 yrs for cambelt, and mines a 2000 x with 60k so i'm having it done as it wasn't done at 6 years, i'm doin the plugs myself, so for my total full service including belts and labour, i've been told £415 including VAT, any opinions on this are greatly appreciated i'd get your cambelt done just because of the age of the car has anyone tried these guys? http://www.prestigecarservicing.com/carser...CFQ7alAodES75sw
  5. so which sites give you this info, the only sites i've come across only confirm the make, model and engine size, not colour, or number of previous owners etc
  6. Get an SE and your insurance should be much less
  7. My front plate is attached to a surround (which only surrounds the top half of the plate, same as yours) and it lifts up to come off, give yours a try, my rear plate is stuck straught onto the boot without a surround, so I can't help you with that one
  8. Did you find that out free of charge and legally?
  9. I know very little about the sound systems, however, I know that the SE and Sport Model IS200 both have an amp at the side of the glove box, which the S model doesn't have, so this has to be taken into consideration when replacing your Lexus stereo for an aftermarket one
  10. How much for the set then? assuming they are in excellent condition, seeing how well you look after the rest of the car
  11. Make sure you bring it to some of the meets... Welcome to LOC
  12. same here, I had my front brakes done a few months ago and only done about 1500 miles on them, took it easy after they were done, as advised, so i'll just nip it in to the mechanic and ask him have a look, wouldn't know what to look for myself, but to have a look at a caliper and free somethin up shouldn't cost too much, lol Cheers
  13. This week i've noticed my car starting to pull to the left, more so when braking, what's normally the cause of this? and what's the solution?
  14. Think i'll be visiting TDI north very soon, I'm in wigan so a trip to hemel is a trek and a half unfortunately
  15. Count me in definitely, i'll be booking the day off work, and i'll be havin the car professionally cleaned for this occasion too :D (asked my local dealer to source me a scarlatti red IS to replace this one too :D)
  16. How much for the original 17's? would you seperate? (if so, I would be after the 2 with new tyres)
  17. gutted to hear about the bump, I had no idea how much damage can happen from a seemingly minor bump, i'll be leavin more room in front of me from now on I can tell you. I don't know much about writing cars off, but if you buy the car back to repair yourself, do they still pay out to replace the car anyway?
  18. do I assume your Reg Plate will be fitted to the bumper? in my honest opinion with the boot smoothed out, I thought, 'rover 45' sorry if thats not what u wanted to here, i guess thats the plus side of being able to try it before actually doing it to the car but the side without door strips looks good, that would be a nice subtle modification
  19. Not that it matter at all, still looks great, I like that spoiler
  20. Mines the same, the badges the opposite way round, mines an SE auto Car's looking pretty nice btw
