  1. Some rumours here http://lexusenthusiast.com/2012/06/12/more-next-generation-lexus-is-rumors/
  2. Does it have air suspension or coils? If coils would look at double checking wheel balance, pressures etc
  3. Would check: Are all the tyres the same make / type Are they all of similar age / remaining tread depth / wear Check the tyre pressures All of those can be done free, if that still didn't fix I would look at possible wheel alignment issue? (Although I would be surprised it wasn't noticeable at lower speeds if it was alignment or even something more serious?)
  4. There is a post on Disc and Pads a few down: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=76576 Tyres you'll be looking at £1k+ for a set, somewhere in the region of £250-£350 per tyre, Lexus do a set of Winter Blizzaks for about £1100 including storing for them each Summer.
  5. Anyone on here who drives a Mesa Red ISF LM10 reg around the West Wickham area today? Was driving behind you when you pulled into the Petrol Station next to Halfords on the Wickham road. Almost pulled in behind to say hello as have never seen another outside a dealers in 4 years!
  6. Unless your name is Jeremy Clarkson, then it's all about POWWWEERRR.. :)
  7. From the album: IS-F

  8. Yes, also if you are after quarter mile times they have a thread showing times and what people modded to get them, including some Nitrous lol http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f/410966-official-is-f-drag-time-dyno-time-performance-thread.html
  9. Its what amazes me in why they aren't more popular?! Show me a C63 AMG or an M3 that has had so little done to it over 3 years...for such a tuned car it is astounding!
  10. Evolam, it's a very small ISF community in the UK, only 200 cars in the whole country!
  11. There aren't very many mods for the IS-F, there are a few though including exhausts but would require importing. The US are far more into modding their cars so if you are after information this is where you will find it: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f-200/ On the subject of improving the performance, one of the biggest gains may well be getting the latest MY. If you look at the reviews over the years the ISF started out as a very close car to the M3 but was beaten around a track, this was greatly improved with MY2010 LSD being added which closed the gap however the latest changes to the suspension have improved even further. http://lexusenthusiast.com/2011/01/02/2011-lexus-is-f-competes-in-car-drivers-lightning-lap/
  12. Here you go, read these and buy with confidence: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f/610177-is_f-known-issues.html http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f/620051-what-to-look-for-when-purchasing.html http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f/570931-water-pump-leaking.html The cars are much more popular in the US (As the Lexus brand is overall as well) in the UK you will be part of a very exclusive club!
  13. From everything I have read they are fairly bullet proof, I haven't owned mine long enough to comment from experience though. On the US website the only thing that was mentioned on early cars was the water pump. I would still suggest buying from a Lexus dealer just to have the piece of mind of Lexus warranty. As with most things Lexus I would just buy and enjoy! :)
  14. Not sure where you got those figures from but at least 1 is way off, the quoted 0-62 mph time of the IS-F is 4.8 seconds with most tests placing it below this. The first performance sedan I drove was a C63 on an AMG day at MB World. I fell inlove with the noise it made, truly a superb car. However, when it came to actually buying and running a car like this it came down to more realistic things. Reliability, yes MB have improved, but the car I moved out of (SLK 350) had a fair number of issues over the years (and this was one of the most reliable MB cars in recent years) in fact the 6.3 engine is subject to a class action lawsuit for failures http://www.benzboost.com/content.php?1661-Class-action-suit-against-Daimler-AG-Mercedes-due-to-M156-V8-%2863-AMG%29-engine-defects Servicing costs, not sure if MB was really taking the mick when they decided you pay for a service which doesn't actually include any of the bits that need changing. AMG servicing costs are even higher, prob looking at an extra £300 a year over the ISF Fuel, ok yep you don't buy a car like this for fuel consumption but at least in the ISF I can get over 30mpg on a long run, and even having fun with it you'll still get high teens. Dealers, nothing compares to Lexus dealers. The ISF really is more of a split personality car, you can drive it like a Lexus, enjoying the quiet and luxury while cruising along, or put your foot down in Sport and drive a sports sedan. It manages to fulfill both rolls. If someone else was paying for it and dealing with it then maybe I would probably have picked the C63 but for me ISF was a more rounded package.
  15. Sorry wasn't sure if it would, just got to www.lexus.co.uk and search approved used ISF. Slurms, you should have taken it. We buy any car offers more than that!
  16. Not on Glasgow site, think car has been moved. If this link works it's 2nd one down. http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/results.aspx?wflw=se_na_re_vi It's an 11 plate MY12 with 8.8k miles £37,900
  17. It's not just these cars, pretty much the entire Lexus range suffers from this same problem, I know our RX shows exactly the same. To be fair though my SLK which had much harder leather had a ripple effect after the years, it's just the leather slightly stretching over the years I think.
  18. At least coming from an M3 it won't be miles apart; I jumped from a SLK 350 and it took a while to get used to the extra power ;)
  19. Here ya go :) http://howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=Ct+200h
  20. Grats! You really will enjoy, the car is such a good all rounder, able to be a good luxury cruiser and yet also a high performance toy!
  21. Grats on the new car Tony! How are finding the new suspension setup? Won't extend the warranty until close to the time. 10 k miles on tyres is very low, surprised they didn't offer up some compensation!
  22. If still not clear, when you buy say a 2008 F from main dealer, ask them for Service plan at same time for however long you plan to keep the car. This will give you a fixed cost for any scheduled work needing to be done during the plan's life (be it miles or time which ever hits first) In the post above the year 6 plan cost £850 which would likely mean it covered something big like belts etc at 60k miles.
  23. He is talking about Service plans. I took out a 3yr service plan on my F when I bought it, cost approx £850 for the first 3 services. The only additional costs would be for consumables such as brake pads etc. Would highly recommend as you can plan ahead. Running costs are much much lower than other high performance cars.
