Yep, im with Adrian Flux and i had to ask the same question on here like over 2 yrs ago. As everyone says it's CAT1, why Adrian Flux ask that i don't know as they already know this from reading their computer screen. But i guess they ask incase the owner decided to take out the Thatcham CAT 1 and replaced it with a rottweiler instead lol. On the phone when they asked if its CAT1 or CAT2 you should have meeeooowwed down the phone...ok bad joke.

Was the main impact towards the back? which would mean that the force would have knocked you sideways instead of head-on. Im impressed how the lexus has held together after an impact from a 80mph car, it must have just skimmed you at that speed. But gutted for you and your car as you must have looked after it well and is a shame it ended like this, but these things can happen at anytime we are on the road. On a different note, are you allowed to take anything off the car as on paper the car now belongs to the insurance company surely? And how do the insurance work out how much the car is worth?Do they give you what the amount your car was insured for or do they gather the info on the year of car, milage, parts fitted etc? But anyway, don't think about the settlement too much, it's only money, your health is alot more important and you did have a lucky escape! Good luck fella!

Bodykit is down to personal taste, if you like it, then go for it. Just remember that your insurance will want to know about it in which case it will go up and getting it sprayed/preped/fitted costs/time off road. I'm pick and mixing'em at the moment, so hopefully it will turn out ok, as it's more risky when you pick and mix. I do like the rear bumper on that kit, but at the moment i've not got the exhaust for it (only got standard). Not liking much of the front and side skirt, but maybe it's nicer once you see it in real life. And its not a bad price tbh for a complete bodykit. might even email seller to ask if he does just the rear bumper...

Yes by far...cars i've drove Ford Orion (hardest car to drive...no power steering!) Ford escort (Kept breaking down) Ford fiesta (scared the hell out of me when it couldn't get up this hill in first gear!) (Yes, i was stupid enough to make the same mistakes 3 times in a row lol) Toyota Corolla (Nice car, just can't see sod all out of the rear window...its the type with the notch back and it rises higher towards teh back) Honda Civic (very reliable car, even after 9 Yrs) Lexus is200 (expensive to keep, but never let me down) You can see me working up the ranks after a long downfall lol and tbh...i really don't intend to sell it or trade it as of yet, as parts fail, i will upgrade it. I still get people from work saying its a 01 car, you should trade it in and get a newer car. But im very picky when it comes to something i want and the lexus really does stand out compared to other cars that everyone elses got. Lexus is the only car i had to save a long time to get as i actually did want one, not just a car to get me about plus been through good and bad times and the car has never let me down...bit like having a shoulder to lean on, type thing...I just can't bring myself to get rid of it..just the thought is a sin in my books.

The skirts look more suited to be a spoiler than a side skirt lol. Yep i noticed them too and knew i saw them somewhere...tbh..i say leave them..why would you want more hassel? Why isn't there much choice when it comes to rear bumpers for the lexus..

Going into this road which narrows (narrow enough not to allow 2 cars past), i stopped to let one person through and then i decided to go as the opposite car was stationary, but for some strange reason the lady driver decided it'll be a good idea to go as well, even though it was a give way just 6 meters later on on her side, so she would have to had to wait for the car i just let pass get out of the give way before she could have carried on with her journey. Luckly i was only going at like 5 mph, but she could had taken my door mirror off and scratch down across the whole of my offside. i fell like using mspaint... A=car i let through. B=my car. C=person with no perception of sizes. D=money i have left this month I love ms paint...lol

Do you know how much in advance you can do the MOT? like i got a month to go , but could i do the MOT now? Obviously the new MOT will be dated a month forward. Is there a limit of like 2 weeks or something in advance?

Theres one on ebay for sale thats LPG...anyone know where i could get this done if i decide to? Im based in Kent and how much would i be looking at for the is200? I don't think any petrol stations in the south east do gas yet..might have to search about... Thats why theres a sticker on the MOT certificate that you can peel off and stick onto the windscreen (from inside!) to remind you when your MOTs due lol. I only noticed this when looking at mine yesterday...these are the worst months of the year for me....Road Tax ends this month, MOT in July and Insurance...

Yeah, same here...i find the rear bumper is a bit over the top for my liking and makes the back look like its about to cry lol. I brought the TS style front lip from epracing else i would have probably bought the front bumper from JDL. But if you offer him a near offer he might just take it..im sure i've seen someone offered £400+p&p for the whole kit and they accepted...read jdl's feedback. Who ever bought the full kit show definitely post the images up! Also look at how low the exhaust is lol

Ah, nice..i saw them on ebay, but only for auto's..it's weird cos on ebay it looked like u get the 3 pedals+footrest and also u get an extra gas pedal or something in the pack, but whatever it is it's the smallest pedal in the pack?!!? How do they fit? did u have to drill any holes? or is there like a back plate to attached onto?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any other makes of pedals apart from OEM sport pedals? Thinking about getting these, but not sure if they will fit..and is sparco a reliable make for pedals? I know they're famous for their steering wheel, which frankly doesn't look anything special, but hey..what do i know lol Post up images of pedals you have thats aftermarket! Cheers!

I looked at this before..its something like LPG or something...the only thing is, isn;t the only company that does it is Shell? or at least i think only a very few do it and unfortunately theres no petrol stations around here that does gas. I've read a thread on this subject a few months back...but i will probably go for it as the last alternative to keeping my Lex.

Isn't this caused by something like water in the footwell area or something? where it leaks through the front panel by ill-fitted window sills? i may be wrong and its just a faulty switch lol, best thing to do is take out the headlight fuse (not sure where its located, inside or in engine bay).

Lo ppl, Got a few pounds to fleece this month and i must buy something for the lex and was thinking about the induction kit from prolex. First of all, is there any gains from this apart from a nicer sound from it, anyone got one? Seems easy enough to fit and how often do i have to change the air filter at the end (comes with power enterprise filter). oh and i only have standard engine.
