If you click your username in the box to the left of your post (or in the top menu and choose profile), you should see your own posts, or at least the recent'ish activity. Likewise, clicking someone elses username next to their post, you'll see their recent activity. There is also "My Activity Streams" in the "Latest Posts" tab when you hover over it. As a non Lexus owner now, the CLS63 is my daily, and the "other" car is my '94 VW Corrado VR6.

No idea what modern BMW’s are like, but my E36 325 was totally reliable over the 5 years and 110k miles I covered in it. Likewise, no idea on the Mercedes marquee as a whole, but my CLS63 has been great in the 16 months I’ve had it. The odd part has been astonishly cheap in comparison to Lexus prices. They must've changed the spare tyre situation over the years. My 2007 CLS63 has a collapsible spare, which is inflated using the provided compressor.

I’d say it was worth saving if everything else seems good. Not that many Gen 1’s around these days. You may find a used bonnet and bumper in the right colour at a breakers, or just get those parts resprayed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Have you tried applying power and earth directly to the blower motor? Just to confirm the motor is not toast. Also checking the blower controller and body ecu. You could also try removing the relays and bridging the connections to confirm it is not the relays, or power to them. Without seeing the second half of the diagram (to see where the R-L wire goes) nothing in that diagram suggest that the engine ECM controls anything to do with the blower (only the ac). It would seem a lot of hassle changing what looks to be an unconnected item. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

If you are changing the fluid, it is worth the effort to drop the pan and change the filter also. If that is clogged too much, it could be restricting the pressure in the system, affecting the operation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Good grief, I’d already explained the confusion on how I read your post. I am in-fact, well aware of the engagement method of the parking brake, hence why I never once referred to it as a hand brake. However, as you keep trying to imply that as you are older, have been driving for longer, have owned a foot operated parking brake Lexus for longer, and therefore you must be the authority on this subject, I probably don’t need to point out that there is a red lamp (which may be an LED for us younger folk and more modern machinery, but will undoubtedly have been an incandescent bulb when you were a lad) that actually informs you that the parking brake is applied, thus trying to aid you in not driving off with said parking brake applied. Touchy [emoji4] To be fair, what you describe in the second answer isn’t the same as how the first answer reads. It reads that as part of normal driving, you set off with the park brake on, it doesn’t read that the reason for that is that you occasionally forget you had it on. Hence my “weird” comment. That sounds very weird. You mean you are actually moving before you release it? I’d have thought the majority of folk would be foot on brake, put in drive, release park brake, foot off brake, go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The last set I bought for a GS were very thin (genuine part). The garage said they needed replacing, but when the saw the new ones, they realised they didn't (they are only ever applied when the vehicle is stationary, so they never really wear, and hence only need a small amount of material). I'd guess a couple of mm. I'd have though the LS would be similar.
