Mines awesome Dave, and the flywheel spins up quickly too. None of that waiting to hit 4500rpm when the vvti kicks in, it's up there as soon as you touch the throttle. The new flywheel was 6.5kg... the old one was 13.2kg. It makes a big difference.

Personnally i like the noise it makes, but it is very loud and does get on your nerves after driving for a while. I've also cut a 5'' hole though the inner wing and used some ducting to feed the filter direct cold air from the fog light hole. I think that might have made it a bit louder. I can't seem to drive down the road now without frightening old ladies and small children...... but it's a grin and a half :D I don't know if it's made much difference to the performance, but the sound it makes is awesome, and that alone makes me drive faster. Needless to say, the wife doesn't like it..... what does she know anyway...

That's it Steve..... nothing gets past you does it ? Dave and Gordon, what the h*ll are you both talking about ? Fitted the induction kit today, along with a few little extra bits and pieces under the bonnet. Just waiting for the Pro-Lex engine cover now......

I just wanted to say THANKS to Mark at Tdi. Recieved my charger induction kit and carbon scoop this morning. Nice little mod to it aswell..... you know what i mean Mark !!! Note to self........ STOP spending money you don't have.

Who's the Daddy ????? This was taken by Pete at JAE last year. The front wheels were turned slightly so for some reason it looks higher on the front than it actually is. I took it into the dealers today for a service and MOT.... they couldn't get it on any of the ramps in there, cause it was too low. It took 4 of us to phisically lift the car by the arches, onto the ramp, and then again to get it back off after the service.

I got the Helix paddle clutch and lightened flywheel in mine a couple of weeks ago. Did the job myself, at home in the garage, on axle stands. I'm so glad it doesn't squeek, cause it aint coming out again. At first it was a bit "juddery" but it seems to be getting alot better now it's bedding in.

You don't need to make spacers to fit aftermarket 6x9's, but it will sound better if you do. Did i mention i have a set for sale !!!!!

Chris, Don't accelerate in a high gear......... :P If you change down a gear and keep the engine reving, is it ok then ? It does it in 2nd gear aswell though could it be a vacuum pipe off somewhere ?
