first i've heard of this system and its got my attention! sorry i couldnt be much help lol! (i test drove a e class merc, it had front sensors also. no noise, but a light unit right at the front of the dash. it had a green, amber and red light bar. green obviously means it detected an object with it lighting up the rest of the colours when getting closer) you can see it right at the top(bottom of windscreen)

i saw a bugatti veyron in camden town today. all white looked lovely. had to do a double take to make sure i wasnt seeing things. it was a left hooker...

i had a similar problem with my g/f car. its only 7 years old, and i've had older alloys that kept more air in. I thought it had gone porous, but it actually turned out to be a shody fit!!! try a totally different garage

he'd be able to get a 54/55 plate leon for around £9k with 40k miles or less! mine was £9995 with 40k on the clock, and still under warrenty

i was thinking of the civic 2.2 before i purchased my seat leon pd150.. not having driven the civic but as my budget was around 10K i opted to the leon as it was cheaper and larger.... the extra 10bhp may of also helped in chosing it! i researched the accord 2.2 also but if you go on their forums you will see many people are having problems with cracked manifolds. honda do replace them if they are within 4 years of registration. the same applies for the civic as its the same engine. i've got a mk1 FR+(55 reg) with cupra R kit from the factory. looks nice and flies! there are loads of after market options so he wont get bored, and the tuning options are huge. just get him to drive them all then make a choice..

i've got a seat leon PD150. similar engine as the PD130 in the golfs, main difference is a few internals and turbo. mine so far has been 100%. i dont go easy on it either. maybe a 130 leon? or even an ibiza if its not too small. you might even be able to get a 150/160...

how about a nissan micra? if your lucky you might even find a jap import 1.0 turbo or later 1.3 turbo! toyota starlet glanza v?

Nissan Primera GT 2.0 97-99 or Primera egt 2.0 1990 - 1997, or 99-02 SR20DE engined primera. almera gti...? (sr20de is ***** easy to get extra power out of) as far as im aware, all the petrol engines in the almera are jap units. my g/f has had one for about 5+ years, 1.8 sport (still in the household family) and hasnt gone wrong once. i've had a 1.8 primera which had some frenchy electrics. it did keep flagging cat problems but there wasnt any. i even sold it with the engine check light on! but your not going to get 50mpg... the primera more like 33mpg, almera about 35mpg yes i like my primeras :P

i cant remember any of me, but i was with a friend of mine, we both had nissan primeras. his gt kept making a squeeking noise from the rear, so about 1am on the a406 he stops on the side and takes his rear boot lid apart. he found a razor blade. apparently nissan used them to get the rear window in clean/cut. i didnt notice he stopped so kept on driving home -_- few miles down the road, the noise started again just remembered one: the little statues below the tv MUST be facing forward..... every now and then they turn slightly at which point i run up and adjust them...

works both ways... a dealer quoted me £260 for a belt change on my seat(car). that was in york... down here its more £350+

this happens all to often and theres not much you can do. if he took the keys out he would of been beaten to a pulp for sure. i remember a 330ci was nicked after a R1 bike hit it. two passengers jumped out of the bmw and the 2 on the bike jumped into the bmw... leaving the bike the 2 from the bmw set the bike alight which was stupid as the bike was nicked!
