  1. if you can try and buy a second small diesel car as stated above. but then you've got the expense of keeping two cars on the road, taxed, serviced, insured. my honest opinion is sell the lexus and get something you can have fun with and still save money. i've got the fr+ tdi and its great. will get it mapped and still be saving money. the way i see it, why waste money on petrol when you can be saving it for other more important things in life? end of the day its a car, there will be a newer version out which im sure you'll end up buying in the future when you have more money to upgrade!
  2. the japanese dont really make good diesels, that was my only problem, honda accord/civic was the only option. ended up with a vag(vw audi group) seat leon. goes like stink in traffic and motorway. insurance is half what i paid on the gs300 and £120 tax is a bonus! rumours of a high revving diesel by honda.... that would be something!
  3. from what i;ve read, i think the 1.9 JTD is a great engine. alfa even borrowed it for their diesels! search "Fiat Stilo 1.9 review" in google. it comes up with professional review as well as customer ones! i quickly just checked parkers reviews, the 1.9 JTD came in 4 varients, 80bhp, 115bhp, 120bhp and 150bhp. go for the 150bhp if you can afford one. it only came in 3 door. beware the 150bhp sporting was only produced from july 06 to dec 06, just because it has sporting badge doesnt mean its the 150 bhp engine! the log book wont state what bhp it has either.
  4. Hi HochRo, I dont think you'll get anyone that will be able to do this. Sure people would like to help, but this isn't as easy as posting a letter. It will take some research to find the best carrier, then probably one day off work(so they are out of pocket already) to get it sent off while they wait for collection or take it to the depot/hub. Why don't you ask TTE direct for a quote for shipment to your own address. They may be cheaper on shipment which might offset the higher cost for the kit, rather than buying from the UK and forking out extra shipping charges. Good luck, shake
  5. well heres one why boyfriends SHOULDN'T buy their mrs's a wii fit
  6. just had a quick search... i feel as if i should be paying to watch that video!!!!!! not watched my miss on the wii fit, but i think i'l pay attention now!
  7. the st tdci has an over boost feature, where you floor it and for about 20seconds or so it ups the torque to 299 lbs ft from 265 lbs ft
  8. they are hard to get hold of, lucky lad! so.... are you over weight? under? or really fat? had a go on my g/f's, apparently im ideal weight! although it was close to under weight
  9. i bet your not bored of the over boost feature! the st was 2nd choice after the leon fr. fancied something smaller so fr won. its a shame its not a lexus, i miss the smooth drive and auto box!
  10. old thread, but any car can be nicked. its just the matter of the theifs taste. if a gs gets nicked, at least they had good taste
  11. i like the new 7 series, however i would pick the LS over it. LS600hl is the best looking limo car to date imo. followed by the s class
  12. dirty injectors? they may be self cleaning but my dads carina had exact same problem as your dads gs300. turned out to be a injector no:4 being faulty!
  13. my jump from a gs300 to a seat leon fr tdi dropped by half! if its jap, your always going to pay extra than a european car. parts are easier to get than jap cars.
  14. i was on the m25 speed trap today, many cars passed me while i was doing the limit. sods law if i did it, id get a ticket!
  15. budging people out the way doesn't count. the rovers were called "tomcat"s
  16. hi, it would have been easier if it were the other side, the near side (passenger) has less space to get your hand in. i end up with a few cuts to my hand. :( you need to turn the connector either clockwise or counter clockwise, sorry i cant remember which exactly. but it will only move one way. once its moved, you should be able to pull away and change the bulb, then insert it back in and twist lock it into place!
  17. you can do worse than me on my cbt... i fell off!!!! lol
  18. bet you the spark plugs in your car the ISF gets slated! - just a hunch :(

  20. Very nice looking car! my mate just got on 08 plate leon cupra in yellow! Not totally sure that yellow is the best colour! how you enjoying the car so far? its wicked. not cost me a penny on fuel as of yet. on the other hand, i just full tanked my gs300. im sure it will be empty after the spirited drive to pick up the seat
  21. a friend had a nova 1.3 sr, tuned carbs and it flew. power to weight ratio! it would be pointless if your cousin is ... erm ... a salad dodger?
  22. if you've told him £4k and its a deal, i doubt he will offer less if he's coming in on a day off. good luck!
