its a good question.... in my mind if i claimed 6months in and paid upfront for a year, i would settle and then ask for the rest of the 6months refund as i would not have a car. obviously if i purchased another car straight away and stayed with the insurance company i would not expect to pay for another policy as all that needs to be done is change the car on the system and pay a small price if the car costs more to insure, or refund is its cheaper to insure. hmmm EDIT: just remembered my 1st ever claim, was 9 months in. i just had to pay £300 until the policy expired as the new car was more to insure.

if i had the money it would go for the nissan gtr. i remember reading that a gs f is in the making ;)

+1 been screwed once but when its the only way to use ebay easily theres not much anyone can do. i set up a seperate bank account for ebay and paypal... fingers crossed it doesnt happen again would a small claims court be able to sort this for you? i think paypal just need some scaring :shruriken:

india is one of the most dangerous countries to drive in. my cousin had a crash there thankfully everyone was ok. the car would of been written off in the UK but they fixed it there. it was squashed by two 18tonne trucks on both sides. to be honest i think its because your a tourist. i would never be able to drive there, most dont even fold out the mirrors. maybe you were the terrible driver. (think of it as their driving standards are totally different, where you moved forward, a home grown indian lad might of given way or the other way round)dont take this the wrong way! :P be thankful your not a statistic

Hi and welcome to LOC! right lets get down to it! 1) how large is the crack? if its just a chip you may be able to get it repaired much cheaper than a new window. im not sure of the price but if worst comes to it, you can always find one second hand, at a scrappy or ebay has a few Mark 1 gs300s. 2) as i had a mark 2 1998 > im not sure about the keys, but mine only worked from about 10feet, and trust me thats a good thing. on the mark 2 and 3 you can open the windows from the remote which became alot easier on the mark 3. some people have left the house and wondered why their windows were down 3) overdrive limits the gear box to 3 gears. this is usually used when towing heavy weight or such 4)this is the mark one mark 2 mark 3

the company i work for use to use them on a daily basis. the service was so bad, when they called to cancel the account they just said, "cant really blame you for leaving, there isnt anything we can do" :mat: im astonished they are still about, there are loads of courier companies better than them.

taking a wild guess, was diesel not widely available before LPG was being used at all? wouldnt make sense for a car maker to spend money trying to sell a product (LPG car) when diesel was already at every pump... another take on it is diesel cheaper to make? less time consuming? who knows, were at the bottom of the food chain anyway

way i see it, the more popular it becomes the more tax they'll add on. diesel use to be cheaper than petrol but "they" realised diesel gets more miles in = less trips to the tax shop!

the car makers (lexus and toyota) have to look at the market. usa dont have co2 based tax or stupidly high insurance groups like we get. so they can make a car suitable to the yanks (POWA!) where in the uk we are more hug the trees! save the wildlife! stop harming our o-zone layer if we got the gs350, a) tax would be a female dog, b.) insurance will be skyhigh c) lexus would not be able to sell any! each country has a specific audience to which car makers need to taylor their needs and make a suitable car

theres one on a huge digital tv board on the highway (near saab city/texaco petrol) but doesnt stay long till it switches to another image. must have loads of images loaded in as i've never seen a full cycle stopped at a red light! use it as a bed sheet? :P

mate has a scooby 1999 for sale @ 1850ovno... needs a new headgasket we think as it slowly drinks water. has full ppp from factory. drives totally fine, just need to keep an eye on the water level. pm me if you think he'd be interested

paypal is a huge con, i;ve been ripped in the past by them, only way i got money back was through the bank. they reversed the charge. but paypal is the main way of getting/sending money on ebay. i've just opened up a separate account for paypal only. will transfer to my main account soon as i withdraw through paypal. do abit of searching on the net, paypal has a following of haters, ex staff even hate paypal as they get treated like rubbish best of luck!

if size is not an issue, go for an ibiza cupra tdi. 160bhp shed load of torque and a 0-60 in 7ish! i really wanted the ibiza (more sportish styling inside out) but it was too small for my needs. re the ebay leon, just been given a kit at factory

they didnt make a fr with 105bhp, its 150bhp@ 4000rpm and 230lb ft @1900rpm!! the lex is 9.2 on paper which is slower than the tdi of 8 odd. remapped leons @ stage 1 make 180-190bhp with 300lb ft till the red line when i exchanged my gs for the fr, i noticed the pull from 40+ was the same as the gs300. standing start the fr would get whooped by either the gs or is as i cant get the power down, spins all the way, 2nd and 3rd gear the fr would pass like a speeding train. test drive one, i promise you wont be disappointed! just dont expect it to be refind like the lex lol
