  1. No mate, the high to RCA just tap onto the cable, as in you dont cut the feed to the speaker and pass it through the high to RCA adapter. If you just running a sub then you would only need to connect to one speaker, as a sub is mono only. Looking at the pic i posted, you'd use the blue 2 wire's tapped on to the feed to one speaker + - and the black is grounded to the car body and then just connect to your amps RCA input and your away. HTH...
  2. My red door markers Puddle lights. Just in the process of doing the break lights and indicators, just waiting for the led relay to arrive that stops the indicators flashing too fast.
  3. No you will have to get the new key cut, the guts can be swapped over but not the key blades.
  4. I,d just take a feed off the rear deck speakers ran through a high-rca filter and then to the amp input.
  5. The horns have one live feed for both horns and are earthed through their fixing bolts, check to see if the connections not rotted off stopping power to them!
  6. Ok are you planing on keeping an after market stereo? If so get an amp bypass lead for ebay (get the right one, not one of the cheap ***** ones) do a quick search on here for a walk through on how to do it. As for the TRC button, when you press it does the light on the dash come on, but the button does not light up? then theres a small bulb in the button called a grain of wheat bulb, maplins do these for about £2 each. If the dash light dosnt work but the button light does then it will be a fuse. HTH Jomo.
  7. 1, is300 lights wont fit the is200 with out a lot of body work, so not worth the effort IMO. 1a, the self leveling feature is fitted to the suspension not the headlights, and thats a huge job to under take. 2, i'v had hid's fitted in my is200 high n low beams for the past 4 years without any issues and i bought them from ebay. 3, fitting hid's to your fogs light is easy, remove the fogs, there's enough cable to connect the hid's to the loom without removing the bumper, add some lengths of double sided number plate tape to stick the ballasts to the car and refit the fogs. HTH.
  8. If you orig stereo was a bottom loader then you have to replace it with a bottom loader sorry. The connections could be swapped, but that means buying the stereo loom for the top loading unit and cutting both ends off, finding the corresponding wires and soldering them together (royal pain in the butt) Or skip them both and go after market. HTH.
  9. I'd say that they were burnt at a too higher speed for the system to read the wav files, try re-burning them again at x2 speed to see if that works. If that works then try x4 and so on till you find the write speed that the system will not read and burn at that last speed to save time. HTH.
  10. Grab yourself one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS200-2001-2004-Car-CD-Radio-Fascia-Adaptor-ISO-Wire-Harness-Fitting-Kit-/200813455446?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2ec16a2856 or similar if you have a preferred audio dealer near to you. One thing that all the vids / work shop tut don't tell you is to give a 12v+ feed to the standard car ariel, coz if you dont the reception with be sh!t.
  11. Yes mate, its a pop up type, the roof pushes it back down but theres a small gap in-between it and the car body and this can bounce up n down and knock on the body and ***** you right off!! So what i did was slip a small bit of wiper blade rubber in the gap to stop this.
  12. DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL JUDDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lex2oos, if you find you have a slight knock coming from the sunroof when its closed, try opening the roof stick your head out the hole and place a small bit of old wiper blade rubber in between the wind deflector and the car, it stops it banging when its closed. Hope this helps.
  13. Had my is over 4 years and dont think i'v ever opened the boot with the key!
  14. No mate they dont light up! Havent seen anyone do a mod to make them light up either!
  15. Really Peter! all those bulbs blowing in one go, a doubt it very very much!!! I'd start with fuses, then have a look at the rear of the a/c unit to see if for some bizarre reason that the mulit plug that powers the unit has come a drift, but i'd say fuses defo.
  16. 9 on ebay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=lexus+is200+parrot+sot&_sacat=0&_odkw=lexus+parrot+sot&_osacat=0
  17. Hi mate, the spats are sold now. As for the foglights, they were like that when I got the car. guessing you using the yellow bulb which give these effect from the inside ... same like when u set up blue bulb on the headlight .. nice car Nope! No yellow bulbs are fitted, the fogs have to be removed from the car, the bulb holder can be stripped from the back of the unit and the lens is just help in by 2 screws, remove the lens and cover the read flat side of it with yellow film/tint or that yellow glass paint from car shop and refit it all back together, boom, yellow looking fogs... HTH...Jomo.
  18. Hi Sj, i had a parrot kit fitted to my is200, but i didnt conect it to the stnd headunit, i just used the speacker fitted under the glove box route. I did buy a cable to plug it into the head unit but change to a sony deck before i got round to fitting it. When i did have it all in with my grom kit and iphone if the phone rang whilest iy was play from the iphone the call was taken through the car stereo speakers so didnt see the need to use the parrot sot cable, but if you not useing an iphone for music just a ipod the i'd get the cable for the parrot. HTH... Jomo.
  19. Sorry forgot to add some text to that post lol... Lexus do a bolt on tail pipe in chrome, they just slide over and tighten on with an allen bolt underneath, can be found on ebay off a scrapper.
  20. Dont suppose the cars had a new front screen fitted in the past year or so, if yes then i'd say that you've got water leaking into the fuse box by your feet behind the kick plate!
  21. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ a great help there mate! Jay, if you remove the headunit from the car, split the two parts (heater controls/stereo) remove the top plate of the stereo (2 or 4 screws) and you will see the cd mech, here you may find some stuck cd's, look down the sides to the bottom and you will see cogs and worm screws, wind the cd mech so you can slid the cd's out of the unit, if you dont have and jammed cd's wind the mech all the way to the bottom then re-fit back in the car and see how you get on. If this fix still does nothing then its time to buy a working unit, or fit an after market mp3/usb cd player. Hope this helps Jay.
  22. As above, very easy to fit, one plug and your good to go! It the best upgrade for the std stereo with out replacing the head unit. No loss of sound quality at all.
