  1. i had a slight vibration when accelerating hard for a while till i realised inside of rear tyres was bare and eneven from arsing about. new tyres solved it
  2. cheers guys will have to have a hoke about the scrap yards for one or anywhere you can buy uk torsen diffs for is200 not altezza?
  3. ahh dont know. same rules tho take your fully comp premium and whatever the % of the increase in power over standard thats the % you put up your premium. you get me?
  4. i just threw them on to see. they prob will come back off. i also trying to work on getting some graphics for the lex but it a hard car to design somet that suits. like the hks lexus but its near a full body wrap lol cant wait for the noz
  5. it not for pro drifting or anything just more drifting at track days ect. can get the tail out in wet with the standard diff but its very unpredictable as to when it catches or loses the grip to one wheel. or would the sport lsd be a more sensible option. i know you sell the altezza diff dave but dont want to have to modify anything to fit the uk car. also want diff before or soon after nitrous kit to help it handle it
  6. Ask him where exactly in Ireland ;) we don't take kindly to scams over here either ... yea we will join up north an south and give him a good kicking lol
  7. they are around £14 new from lexus dealer not a lot.
  8. got a quote for a 75bhp nitrous kit. they way it works is for the percentage you increase your power thats the percentage your policy will go up. i.e 75bhp is around 50% improvement so my policy goes up by 50% which seems fair too me. yet again adriun flux does me proud £620 tpft protected bonus
  9. Just move it around so that you have no more than £50k with any one bank etc. bearing in mind that many banks/building societies are linked. We have joint accounts so can have £100k with any bank etc. Not earning a lot but prefer 5% net to risk of losing it. but are you not only guarenteed 50000 in one account and the rest goes bye bye. shoe boxes fill them up and get a safe in your house bolted to wall. lol
  10. yea vectra 2.5 v6 is putting out good few more horses and sounds sweet. kill the is200. mine has not went past 135mph on 18" wheels. not on public roads.
  11. got my 1999 is200 se on christmas eve 2007. so far it has had 18" inovite 6 spoke alloys, tein basic coilovers, blitz nurspec rear silencer, middle box removed, tinted rear windows to roughly same as sport, rear fog light to brake light conversion, import style number plates. coming soon, ford panther black sprayed headlights, decat manifold, cold air direct induction kit (home made), 75bhp shot of nitrous oxide (WON system with progressive controller), LSD differentail, new grill of some sort, front bumper smoothed and sprayed. possible breakup with girlfriend when she sees the price tag lol.
  12. Still trying to figure out what diff is best for drifting. i dont care about noise or whinning from diff but just want the right one for the job. is the sport LSD strong enough or would the likes of a cusco diff be better. also how hard is it to change a standard diff to a cusco. i.e is it a difficult job to swap the diff in the casing. matt? anyone? cheers
  13. have this manifold after a possible mix up it is not for a is200 as i have but possibly an is300. if anyone can measure the bolt pattern of their manifold on an is300 and think it would fit it can be theirs for very little. just sitting in my flat with no use
  14. i agree takes out the risk of buying springs then having to buy new shocks after and do the job twice. tein basics are under 500 posted to your door and you have new shocks springs and easy fitted. then you also have choice on how the car sits front and rear
  15. me too fingers crossed we keep needing to pump oil out of the ground but could be knock on effect if people start using less oil, petrol trying to save pennies
  16. It doesn't actually, because with the sport grill you can see into the engine bay more. The twin horns are clearly visible, which ruins the effect of the sports grill a bit to me Great, I've just realised that my sports grill will let more crap into the engine bay and I'll be having to clean it more!!! Don't worry, most of the crap will be caught in the rad and not go into the engine bay! Why not remove the horns completely and replace with multi tone fog horns? Forced induction kit? Do you mean cone type filter on a pipe to replace the air box? ProLex do the best one, sits behind the driver's side headlight, and you can get scoops to feed it if you like, and carbon enclosed boxes etc, though most people don't bother. It's not real FORCED induction thou, unless you have a turbo/supercharger. i mean sealed induction kit that does not draw any air from engine bay. like a bmc sealed induction kit. will figure somet out, dont like to be beaten. lol. one idea so far is to come in from the floor of the engine bay or a small bullet style scoop on bonnet. would prefer to not cut the bonnet if i dont have too lol. may have a go at a fibre glass bonnet, my dad used to make spoilers ect so could get some advice off him and try build in a induction scoop.
  17. Yes, hundreds of Yaris but only 69 Yaris Versos on the whole of Autotrader last time I checked and ours is amongst the cheapest. fair point lol. just be extremly carefull they may think 500 is a good price if their second cheque bounces.
  18. yes height adjustable beond recovery. so as low as you can go really without having to replace camber adjustment parts. mine is -35 at front -50 at back, actually need to readjust them now because they hav settled about 1cm all round. keep an eye on that too not too stiff but noticeable harder. still decent ride quality
  19. yea prob. at least they not like some makes of car where they change the suspension setup about 4 times on same car but different year as i learned. just because a car says its 2002 dont mean it is it may have lay about a factory carpark for a year before that particullar car was needed. example my 2001 ka needed lowering springs from a 1999 ka to fit correctly. so you dont always get the brand new car you think lol
  20. Tein's own websites says 2000-2005, e.g. see here I'm assuming they've just got it wrong, since I don't recall anyone here saying there's a problem with Tein coilovers on 1999 models. But I don't know for sure. the 200-2005 ones fit the 1999 percectly. went straight in no problems. mine is 99 se
  21. Were they also willing to cover you for 99% of the money if it indeed turned out to be a forged cheque or bankers draft? Surely all it takes is a call to the branch the money was paid into? Guess they couldnt be bothered. Sorry - still not convinced - but I'm going to drop the whole thing now - You've satisified yourself that all is ok. Good luck. yes but still the 500 may be real but what about the second payment. surley ther hundreds of yaris about so why travel to buy one they aint seen
  22. i bought my tein basic kit from ebay at good price. think it was around 440 plus 30 for post to northern irland. will try find sellers name for you. think it was somet like jam81. will try find out. very quick delivery
  23. i would meet at police station and only accept cash. if it a bankers draft or cheque they give you walk away an say not till full amount is in your bank. i have even heard of the money clearing and then bank turning round and saying it was fake. an they start asking for money back. just be extra carefull. it highly unlikly someone will buy a car they aint drove or seen. it could be an updated scam from the old one. good luck
  24. i think if it doin it after tyre replaced you need to look at the wheel, maybe a hairline crack just enough to let air escape slowly. or there could be perosity in the wheel. (tiny holes from the foundry/ poor casting) maybe a new wheel or get it inspected by a wheel repair shop for leakage.
