  1. hard bit is getting the 2 nuts off behind the wheelarch liner. but is possible. take the wheels off for room to work. i put mine in oven at 110 for 15 mins then took out and prized it apart. one at a time i did mine. quite stiff to pull apart tho until it lets go. once it comes apart make sure no glue is sitting outside the seal area or inside the light move it back into place while hot. spraying i used grey primer with ford panther black, nice and metallic, then clear laquer. let dry overnight to harden a bit. then to reasemble i got it together as best i could then reheat in oven to soften glue for 10 mins and then push all clips into home position. then leave in light down position or use vice grips to hold together till glue hardens. i didnt use grips and mine where fine. just made sure all clips had went in properly. good vidoe on utube too check it out. links on here somewhere. good luck

  4. adrian flux is great for mods i have even been quoted for nitrous kit at a reasonable price
  5. lexus is200 + economical = wrong car lol.
  6. keeping mine. hate front wheel drive cars that try to kill you when you boot it round a corner and they take you straight towards the hedge. just goin to work some power out of my is200 somehow. as for a 1999 car it is spottless underneath corrosion wise. seen some nearly new cars look worse
  7. def in wrong car to be worrying about mpg lol get a run around or a moped thats only way youl save fuel. a bit of weight should not make that big a difference. good couple of subs and amps should lower it like dj wozza said
  8. yea back seats can be tight to get in an out. i had mine out to tint my windows an was sweatin like a pig tryin to take the seat out lol. especially trying to get the back of the seat up over its clips
  9. i think a lot of car dealers should be able to add you ouy=tstanding balance into a new agreement for another car just means you will be paying a lot for the new car. but they usually clear the finance for you and take out a new loan for the total amount
  10. i will hopefully get to one or two meets next year in the better weather if you guys dont mind. also hoping to get to some altezza meets in ireland and be the odd ball with the is200 lol
  11. they drivin everything now i think they have caught on that everyone slowed done when they seen a omega, vectra mondeo and the usuall. now i have seen mazdas skoda bmw subaru mitsibushi, even an unmarked rs focus and r32 golf. all unmarked. its a luck game these days if you see them in time or not lol
  12. i am i window tinter and as a rule i dont normally tint front windows at all. just a sunstrip witch is usually also illegal depending on its depth. if i tint fronts i make the customer sign a disclaimer to take the blame off me. worst was a guy come back after an hour saying he had been pulled and made to rip it off and a fine asking if i could do it again cheaper seeing i had already tinted them. answer was noooooo. but as a rule if its tinted on fronts at all it prob be illegal. manufacturer glass can already be verging on the 70% limit that your aloud. so anything more and your in the red. some pugeots at one point were illegal from factory. it just depends on the police what mood they are in and if they have to do you for anything just to get you for somet else. i.e. my mate flew past an unmarked car at 50ish in a 40 zone. they could not prove it so they did him for his windows instead. its a weak spot if you have done anything wrong. and is also a points worthy issue if dark enough. as for the LIGHT SMOKE thing. depending on the film brand. cheap films are not always very accurate to what they say they are and claim it is just a guide. expensive proffesional films are usually better at getting the percentage right. sorry to hear about the fine tho, i have had a few myself lol
  13. oh also make sure you get a tinter that uses a good film. llumar is best and more expensive and thats what i use, suntec is good film also the others i not sure about. cheap films can fade turn purple and even bubble in worst cases. good luck
  14. the is200 rear screen is not a nice window. i am a tinter part time and i did mine. easy shrinking the film to the window but hard part is getting it inside and on the glass. i took out rear seats and side pillar posts to get parcel shelf out and it was a pig of a job. also the heater elements on rear glass are thicker than normal so film wont want so sit down on them without a fight i charge over 200 to do rear windows and a sunstrip on is200. but def would not recomend fronts done as the police may like to give you a fine and points. if you can notice the tints on the front they will be illegal.
  15. got a set of silvatec bulbs great job. good bright orange flash for the mot guy cheers guys
  16. i only had it off to get better access to get the lights out lol will prob make up a grill for it just to be different. work in engineering so can use some tools lol.
  17. i had bosch super 4 in for a few hundred miles then replaced with ik20 denso plugs. def feel i slight diff. if you want to try bosch i have a set of 6 you can have for posrtage cost plus a fiver? def prefer the denso though
  18. diesle the power of evil. only joking i just not a fan but they are getting faster an faster. can petrol keep up in the future or are we all goin to end up in diesle cars.
  19. cheers. will take a look tomorrow. need one new light lense as it is a bit cloudy. did that one first as it was foggy looking to start with. cleaned up a bit but new lense would look much better.
  20. mine rubs while turning very lightly but stops rubbing on full lock so its somewhere in the middle. i going to use heat gun and do some reshaping to help.
  21. ebay? motor factors? dont think the police would like them to much at min in white. cheers
  22. close up. one light done and de tangod, other original. used a nice metallic black that has a bit of a sparkle to it. hardest part was getting the wheel arch liner out of the way to get the 2 nutts of the back of light. can you buy orange bulbs or do i have to spray them??
  23. the books are there nowdays to shaft the buyer, show you bottom book for your car and never offer to show you bottom book for the one you buying.
  24. well as I said it could be just me, that I am a total loser when it comes to this kinda stuff... :( but seriously I doubt I'll have the guts to try and use one of the techniques described in the drift bible in order to make my car slide on a bend, on the other hand I would be happy with much, much less than that... Carles, don' t you have any video of yourself going crazy with yr IS? dont be silly just practice, on a track or an unused carpark. always a lot easier in wet. just turn in dip the clutch and get the revs up in second gear or so. or if you still have trouble nip the handbrake to break the grip. is possible without an lsd but would be much easier to get both wheels going with an lsd. keep the wallet open for tyres
  25. had it lower but the roads over here are a bit nasty with potholes and rough country roads. was scuffing a lot and exhaust bottomed out a lot. will try get you a pic from front. think i need front arches rolled at front
