  1. oh i did not say to close it, just rename it to be fair to the sellers.
  2. the post is still there under manifold problems fixed as the problem has been resolved. seems this was a supplier problem and they have taken care of it. so dont want to put people off any longer from buying from them. fair is fair.
  3. will see what happens first, not sure if the bottom flange would also need changed. rather just find out if it is off an is300 an throw it on ebay cheap cheap.
  4. Will ask Tom to post up a blog type thing so you can see the progress. He's having TTE coilovers/Prolex-UK manifold/HKS silent back box fitted as well. Will be running with an induction kit as well so should sound quite nice will this kit fit if i have one of the cheap manifolds or will it need a bracket welded on to it. would like to see the progress Not sure if it would fit thinking about it. What I'll do is get it (bracket) made to fit the OEM manifold so that means its 99% sure to fit your manifold i mean one of the cheap ebay manifolds. they dont have any brackets. but would be easy to weld on too i guess

  6. i would def reconsider getting nos if this kit seems to work out ok and the prices are as estimated at around £3500 new fitted. let us know the results i would be very interested if it works. around march time possibly.
  7. i remember years ago there was something about one of castrols oils foaming up if used hard for long times but i think they sorted that very quickly.
  8. i recently bought a manifold for an is200 and i think i recieved a is300 one. now i have a full refund and as far as i can tell the seller has told me to keep it and sell it on. i not sure if it is a good fit for an is300 or not but i can get any pics or measurements if someone could confirm if it is for an is300.
  9. i had ebc grooved with dimples on them on my turbo ka, the dimples dissapeared very fast which left me thinking they are not very hard wearing and after 5 laps at a track day they had turned purple i was using green stuff pads. after that day they didnt feel right so replaced them with black diamond discs and pads. much better. also i noticed on ebay some sellers selling drilled and grooved discs in the small print it says that only front discs are drilled and grooved so watch out for that
  10. i got quoted £400 all in for the full front of my car ie bumper bonnet and 2 wings. and i have seen his work and it is good. but prices vary dramatically in the spraying game. same guy told me £150 for front bumper alone. phone around. big companies are usually dearest and avoid people that want to charge for a quote. con artists. so even if you dont like their price they still getting money from you
  11. Modified lexus or just normal new car news ect.??
  12. was in the rs owners club when i was 18 with a turbo ka and i always drooled over the sierra cosworth rs500, rs200s, escort cosworth, reakon my next car may be a rs focus. first shape one not the new ones they to big and ugly. lol. i hear they scrapped the rs cosworth focus due to not being financially feasable, di*ks if they had of brought that out they would have been sold before they left the factory same way the first rs focus was. waiting lists ect.
  13. i got a Momo Competizione on mine, just plain touring car style chrome. no fancy bits but does lift the height of gear change up a bit. suits me better
  14. Max Power used to be a good tuners magazine for tuning bits ect but seems now days most you can buy out of it is a set of speakers lol. no i read banzai, japanese performance, and sometimes fast ford and performance ford as i secretly a rs ford fan. does not seem to be a lot of lexus in banzai or jap performance. have to try get mine in lol. think i need some more work done somehow lol
  15. i know what your thinking. astra has short stumpy springs on rear seperate damper. the lexus has four shocks with springs on them that need compressed for dissasembly. the spring clamps compress the springs so you can safely take them apart. in other words its like doing the fronts twice on you old astra
  16. its real easy job if your handy with a set of spanners and a set of spring clamps. there a good how to on here somewhere i sure someone will point you in right direction. i not sure where i found it. keep a mate near by to help you push the rear disc down to remove the shock and some sort of balljoint breaker for front. few quid maybe i jus made one
  17. this may sound silly but i had same prob in a bmw. changed the discs and helped for a while when it returned i was baffled. when i put whhel back on i spun it and noticed the tyre was not true. think was result from the warped disc, changed 2 tyres and it was sorted
  18. i got mine and fitted for £200 quid. local retired mazda master technician. only charges £30 pound an hour unlike dealers £100 hour for labour. shop around
  19. i am 26 with tpft cover with adrian flux, told them about my coilovers, backbox, 18" wheels. cost £22 including admin till end of year and only £45 over a full year. these guys seem great with mods insurance. and i not even on a modified policy. will be next year tho. got some plans lol
  20. no prob just couldn be bothered writing it all out again lol B)
  21. is he not classed as a ugly tree child. hit every branch on the wa down lol lol.....should stop making films yea to be honest i liked gone in 60 but he ruined it bein a weeeeeee bit OTT. plus he has a face like a horse lol ok if it make you feel better he not that ugly he the big ugle one in the goonies lol
  22. read the new topic i started about WARNING MANIFOLD
  23. i can feel the heat from my cat too all my mates think there somet wrong when they feel it. think it pretty normal especially if you been nailing it just before
  24. hey again. just seen the steering joint and it is very easy to remove, 2 12mm bolts, take them right out as it makes it easier to remove, just mark about 2 inches above and a small mark below to aid refitting in same position. manifold still tight to remove through the space but it will come, make sure the 2 sensors are unscrewed. 22mm spanner
  25. been watching clips on you tube snips of making the new film and one scene is a drag race with four cars and one seems to be an orange is200,300. looks class
